Rock was the theme on last night's episode of The X Factor, but many of the Top 10 missed the mark...only one can go home, but who will it be tonight?
The Top 10 start out the show with their group performance singing some Queen and we learned that Leroy Bell was not lip syncing this week, as he completely missed his part as silence hit the stage...another reason why he should go home.
We start out with some results right away this week. The first two acts moving on are Leroy Bell (ugh) and Lakoda Rayne (so, the final group made it through and someone from a new category will be sent home this week).
That's all the results we will get for now, but don't fret. To help pass the time, we get a performance from Rihanna singing her new hit single, "We Found Love."
After that fun performance, we get to find out the other top six acts moving on to next week. They are: Chris Rene (shocker again), Melanie Amaro, Josh Krajcik, Marcus Canty, Drew and Rachel Crow (YAY...had me nervous).
That leaves Stacy Francis and Astro in the bottom two, shocking on both parts...one of them will be going home and that's sad to me. Now they will sing for survival. Stacy comes out first and sings "Amazing Grace" and does well. She does the gospel song, like Simon always wants her to sing, but I don't know if it will be enough to take down Astro.
Astro comes out and throws a little bit of a temper tantrum and asks L.A. and the crowd if they even want to hear him sing. He wasn't going to perform, but decides to. Yes, this was bratty and showed no respect for the show, however we have to remember that he is only 15 years old. What Astro does is amazing for someone his age. He writes his own lyrics each and every week and I find that to be a lot harder than just singing a song every week, like the rest of the acts on this show...props to him. I have said from the beginning I think this kid is very talented, but I didn't think he could get the votes and tonight proved me right...unfortunately.
Now it is time for the judges to cast their votes on who they want to go home. L.A. gives some big speech, but then votes for Stacy, Nicole votes for Astro, Paula votes for Stacy .
Simon's turn to vote and he questions the actions of Astro and if he will do the same thing if this happens again during the show. Astro apologizes and starts crying...his true side comes out and the kid emerges and not the tough rapper guy he was trying to be earlier in the show. Simon votes for Stacy, so she will be going home. I thought she would go far, but she had been slipping the past couple weeks...so sad!
The X Factor will air on Tuesday and Wednesday at 8/7c on Fox.
