Well, it's down to the top six girls on ANTM All Stars! Angelea was disappointed about being in the bottom two, because this cycle is so much more important to her than Cycle 14 was. Meanwhile, Allison was excited about best video, and Shannon talked about how she gets thousands of e-mails from girls who look up to her as a role model. Dominique misses her two kids. Pretty typical stuff going on for this stage in the game.
Back at the house, Lisa expressed that she didn't feel that Allison was the total package, but that was quickly replaced with Andre showing up at the door with some waiters who broke plates all over the foyer. It was then announced that all the girls would be going to Greece for the remainder of the competition! Bags were packed, a flight was caught, and once the girls landed, they met up with Ms. Jay and Vicky Kaya, the host of Greece's Next Top Model.
The girls were told that they'd be flying to Crete, which was their final destination, but once they landed they had to give a speech for Greek dignitaries, including some Greek words. They'd have to work on it on the flight and deliver it the moment they got off the plane, and the winner of the challenge would receive a piece of jewelry from one of Greece's finest jewelers. Good stuff!
The speeches went pretty well - Allison's was absolutely flawless, Shannon was eccentric and awkward, Dominique was nervous, Laura did pretty well, and Angelea thought she had it in the bag...all until she announced that she had to go to the bathroom IN SPANISH. Not cute.
Afterwards, the girls went to their new digs, where they met up with Miss Jay, who announced that Allison was the winner of the challenge. She received an awesome gold bracelet as her price, which made Angelea pretty jealous.
The next morning, Mr. Jay arrived at the house to inform the girls that they'd be working with designer Michael Cinco on their final runway gowns, which only two of them would actually get to wear. Each girl met with the designer to talk about what they wanted, and most of it was pretty expected. Allison wanted something dark, Shannon wanted something conservative, and Angelea wanted to look better than everybody else. Again, pretty typical stuff.
At the next day's photo shoot, the girls would be modeling lingerie in a giant bowl of Greek salad. As Jay was talking about the shoot, I was pretty convinced it was going to be the stupidest thing ever, but boy was I wrong! Dominique was up first, and she proved that even surrounded by lettuce, the chick can take an AMAZING photo. Her shoot was pure art from start to finish. Angelea was next, and she also did pretty well, though she looked awkward when she sat up in the bowl. Allison's "vampire vision" didn't allow her to keep her eyes open in the sun for too long, but she still managed to pull off a decent shoot. Lisa was up next, and surprise, surprise...she did amazing. I think it's possible she could take this whole thing home. Laura was up last, and though she wasn't feeling well, she still managed to be engaging in her shoot.
Oh, did I forget someone? Oh, that's right...Shannon. Shannon refused to do the shoot because it was in lingerie, and lingerie is reserved only for her husband. Though Jay tried his best to get her to do it, Shannon stood her ground and did not participate in the shoot. Whatever you think about the decision she made, you gotta respect her for sticking so hard to what she believes in!
At panel, Allison was up first, and though her eyes were closed in just about all her shots, the judges still loved them. Perhaps a contender for final two here? We'll see! Angelea & Dominique's shots were gorgeous, and Lisa's looked more swimsuit than Lingerie. Laura's shot looked too raunchy for her "loveable" image, and of course Shannon didn't have a shot but had to explain again why that was. The judges were confused with her decision, and said that they'd have to consider her whole portfolio to make their decision.
The deliberation (which was just about as typical as this entire episode was) ended in the following results (as if you can't guess what happened):
1. Dominique
2. Allison
3. Angelea
4. Lisa
Laura and Shannon were called down as the bottom two. Laura's brand is loveable, but her photos are not consistent with that. Shannon, on the other hand, is true to her brand, which Tyra finds noble, but the judges find it confusing. In the end, the confused judges decided that Laura should remain, while Shannon got the boot.
Shannon said that she has no regrets, and she handled herself with grace and dignity. She said that her family will be completely proud of the way she handled herself, and that we haven't seen the last of her yet.
What do you think? Did Shannon make the wrong decision by not doing the shoot? Do you respect her for doing it? If Allison and Lisa make the final two, who'd win? Tell me in the comments!
