Big Brother 13

Last night on Big Brother, the boiling point in the house reached a new high as tension overflowed, yelling matches began, and tempting prizes reared their ugly heads in the Veto competition.

First, Shelly is pissed after the nomination ceremony. Absolutely pissed. One minute, she's the calm Southern gal who seems to go with the flow. But now, we can see the side of crazy that the Big Brother casting team must have seen that got her in the house. She wants to know what went on, so Shelly calls a meeting with Rachel and Brendon. Shelly is on the offensive, and she's not letting up on the couple.

Rachel and Brendon call Shelly out on trying to make a final three deal with them (do they want to keep any of their allies?), and they make a point of telling Jordan that she was hypothesizing about her leaving. Well this doesn't sit well with Shelly, and she goes off even more. Brendon begins to mumble increasingly, while Rachel just looks all kinds of nervous.

Cue nervous breakdown for Shelly, because she can't take the lying anymore.

For the Veto competition, Jeff, Jordan and Kalia are picked to play, leaving Brendon and Rachel out of the mix. All of a sudden, the competition has heated up; Brendon and Rachel are completely vulnerable pending the outcome of the Power of Veto and there's not really much they can do about it.

It ends up being a giant game of Corn Hole, where each round, the highest number gets eliminated, resulting in either a prize or a punishment. Shelly ends up getting 24 hours of solitary confinement and a phone call from home courtesy of Jordan, while Jordan gets to wear a leotard for the rest of the week. Kalia, on the other hand, gets a Caribbean vacation, Daniele gets a pass to play in next week's Veto competition, and Jeff gets $5,000 in cold, hard cash.

But the real winner of the evening was Adam, who won the coveted Power of Veto. Adam thinks he's a fantastic competitor, but both Jeff and Daniele admit to us that they threw the competition because they didn't want to deal with winning.

In a last-ditch attempt to stay in the game, Rachel and Brendon try to make a deal with Daniele to throw Jeff and Jordan under the bus. In effect, they're still lobbying for Shelly to get evicted, but it was save both of them from the block this week.

Daniele, however, doesn't fall for it, putting Brendon up in Adam's place when he uses the Power of Veto on himself.

Find out if Daniele's plan works tonight on Big Brother at 8/7c on CBS!
