This week’s episode of Flipping Out begins with the aftermath of the Vegas weekend. Jeff and Sarah are in the car talking about how hung over Sarah was for her bachelorette weekend. It is clear that Jeff thought it was a work weekend, and was disappointed that Sarah didn’t show up at the speaking event. On the other hand, Sarah had seen the weekend as a party and never realized he wanted her there.

Zoila gets back from the hospital and looks great with her new facelift. She is still not able to help clean the house or get back to her duties, for three weeks.  While on bed rest, Jeff decides he is going to raid her room and is flabbergasted to find dirty clothes and her closet a mess. He starts to straighten it out, and decides to do her laundry. When he finds a pair of her dirty underwear, he is relentless with Zoila, the poor lady!

Jeff and Jenni have a conversation where he asks her to come back in as his assistant for awhile since it is clear Sarah is not working out.  The only hitch comes when they start working at Sunshine Terrace with Stacy Parish, a client who for no obvious reason does not like Jenni.  Stacy really connects with Sarah instead. Stacy is very sharp tongued, and seems to like pushovers and people that will talk smack with her. It is so strange, because everyone loves Jenni. Later, at lunch, Stacy really starts slamming Jenni, saying that she didn’t get hit with the pretty stick! She should talk! Stacy Parish is the most ordinary looking person ever. You could see her a thousand times and never recognize her for her ordinariness.

Jeff goes to see a new client, Laura, in Venice, with an intern that he is trying out named Vanina.  Vanina seems to pass with flying colors when she helps out with the client’s daughter while Jeff is taking a look at the loft house.  It will be a major remodel.

Back at the office, Vanina is hard at work, while Sarah is still getting in trouble. Honestly, she is getting in trouble for stuff that maybe wouldn’t have been an issue months ago, but Jeff is riding her now because she has been written up so many times.  Later, Gage and Jeff talk about potentially letting Sarah go. Gage really thinks he should let her go, and Gage is probably right. I have a really hard time watching someone that is new to the company, albeit correct in his assessment, play this role. If I were a tenured employee it would be hurtful to hear this criticism coming from someone that hasn’t been there as long.

Jeff has to smooth over the hard feelings Stacy has for Jenni, especially if he is letting Sarah go.  Finally, over a glass of wine, Jeff and Jenni come to terms with her and her annoying banter. She goes on a few tangents about wearing wigs and giving her husband blow jobs, but finally decides after totally criticizing Jenni’s looks, to be civil. Jenni, of course, does not say anything back, which must have been torture. I would have wanted to throw my wine in her ordinary boring face, and tell her to keep giving b.j.’s to keep her mouth otherwise occupied from spouting out noise.

Sorry. I get defensive of Jenni Pulos.

At the end of the episode Jeff talks to Sarah’s sister, his sister-in-law, and gets her blessing to let Sarah go, with dignity. And so, ends Sarah’s career at Jeff Lewis.
