Last night on Big Brother 13, it was the anti-climactic end to what has been no doubt an overly dramatic week. The veterans won power in the house yet again, putting the newbies on edge and pitting players against each other. An innocent comment by Cassi set Rachel off, making the whole house wonder just how sane she is. And, the Power of Veto let Rachel get her way as Shelly and Cassi were put up as Adam and Dominic's replacements for eviction.
After the veto ceremony, Cassi is resigned to going home. She's not necessarily withdrawn, but she knows what's coming. No one seems to be overly upset accept Shelly, understandably so, since she's her partner. Jordan is torn up about it, but she doesn't seem to be understanding that this is a game, and stuff has to happen.
Still, Cassi isn't leaving without a fight. So, she confronts Rachel and hits her where it hurts with a one, two punch. One, she tells Rachel she's ugly inside. Two, she tells Rachel she used to be a fan of hers and defend her, but now she's lost on it. It's like all of Rachel's insecurities bubbled up at the same time in one kind of explosion. This girl went nuts.
Her first instinct was to cry to Jordan, who clearly had no sympathy for her. She might as well have said that Rachel deserved it, but Jordan was too nice for that. It was only until Brendon played the boyfriend card and stepped up to Rachel's defense that Rachel had someone on her side.
Cassi tried to make amends with Brendon, but it was no good. Everyone in the house knew what was going down, and it seemed like a matter of days for Cassi at this point.
After learning that Adam lost 100 pounds before coming in the house and that Dom is really a virgin, it's back to the house where Jordan gets grilled by Julie. The conclusion: she has no regrets about putting Cassi up to get slaughtered, and she's down for the long haul with Brenchel. Eeek, what happened to the sweet Jordan we know and love?
It was only a trainwreck in slow motion after that point. Cassi knew it was there, and the vote was inevitable: 9-0. In her exit interview, even Julie asked the question on everyone's minds: did Rachel hate Cassi because she was so pretty? The answer was nonchalant, though I think we all know it's a big fat yes.
Back in the house, the HoH competition was guessing which of two answers the majority of online viewers chose as the answer to a question. Just like karma travels in the Big Brother house, the final two were Brendon and Rachel, leaving us all to hit our heads against the nearest hard object and ask "why?" Rachel went on to win HoH, making me question where the good is in this world.
