Big Brother 13: Week 2 Power of Veto Recap

Big Brother 13

by David McAlpine

Last night on Big Brother 13, it was Adam and Dominic's chance to scramble out of nomination territory and into safety, as the post-nomination paranoia began to set in across the house. Is this a plot to switch things up? Who do Jeff and Jordan really like? Who do I want to get rid of?

Well, one thing was for sure: Rachel doesn't like Cassi and she wants her gone. Apparently a small comment that Cassi made about not everyone liking Porsche caused the red-headed beast to light on fire. She's out for Cassi, and everyone else better be, too.

But not everyone hates Cassi. Jordan doesn't get why Rachel is so bent on getting her out (even though it's pretty clear Rachel is threatened by a pretty, nice girl). Jordan decides she doesn't want to be the two-faced person in the house, so she's still set on getting one of Adam and Dominic out. However, she doesn't help her case when Brendon and Rachel are picked to play in the PoV.

The basic challenge behind it is chewing gum while walking across a balance beam and sticking as many pieces as they can to a wall. If they fall off the beam, they're out of the challenge unless they opt to take two weeks of slop instead.

Jordan, the world's least coordinated person, falls off first, and wants to take the two weeks of slop. However, Jeff yells at her not to do it, because he knows she won't win. Rachel makes some snarky comment about how un-competitive the HoHs have been, which pisses off Jordan even more. Eventually the fighting leads to a whole lot of slop and Dominic taking home the veto.

Shock ensues. All of a sudden, there's no two-faced business needed, because Dominic for sure is coming off the block. Now Rachel is out for Cassi, full on. Jeff is pissed off at Rachel, and even Brendon is telling her that she's kind of in the wrong for the comments she made during the PoV. Cue Rachel running into the bushes to cry. The bushes.

Everyone knows Rachel is wrong and being a giant baby. It's clear that the easiest move is to nominate her and kick her out, but no one has the gall to. Instead, it turns into the world's biggest pity party for Rachel and how much the fans hate her. Jeff tries to talk Jordan into putting up Rachel, and she starts thinking about it.

When all is said and done, Adam and Dominic come off the block (clearly) and Jordan sticks with the plan to put up Cassi and Shelly. Sadly, Jordan is just playing along with Rachel, but it seems like her days are numbered in the coming weeks.
