American Idol Season 10

by Gina Scarpa

Tonight, on American Idol, things start with Scotty and James teaming up to perform "Start A Band" - a song by Brad Paisley and Keith Urban. I didn't know how James would fare doing country but he and Scotty really blended well together. Afterwards, Haley and Lauren team up for Miranda Lambert's "Gunpowder and Lead". They did rock it but I'm still partial to the original.

In a video sponsored by Windows Live (thank you product placement), the Idols video chat with their loved ones back home... many of whom we see in the audience each week but... it's still cute.

Ryan reveals that the first person in the Top 3 is Lauren. He saved her a ton of stress by sending her to the stools first!

A video is shown of Lady Gaga's live performance of the song "You and I". If you haven't heard it, it's definitely worth downloading - it's a different side to Gaga. I wish she performed it live, though. Afterwards, Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull took the stage to perform "I Like It".

This week's Ford commercial is definitely the coolest of the season, set to Owl City's "Fireflies".

The stars keep comin' and season 6 winner Jordin Sparks returns to perform her new single, "I Am Woman". It's good to see her back - it's been a while! I just have one question after listening to the song. Is she a woman? I couldn't tell from the 50,000 times she said it.

Steven Tyler premiered his new music video for his new song "It Feels So Good". At 63, he's still got it!

The next person to make it into the Top 3 is Haley! That means that Scotty or James will be going home and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's shocked.

After a commercial break, it's time for the moment of truth. The person leaving American Idol is... James. What do you think about his elimination?  I think this isn't the last we've heard of James Durbin.

Don't miss American Idol when the Top 3 take the stage, Wednesday at 8/7c on FOX.
