The Biggest Loser 11

Last night on The Biggest Loser, it was the contestants' night of magic as Bravo's Tim Gunn pulls up in a carriage to deliver the good news to the final five: it's makeover week!

This is the week that everyone, both contestants and viewers alike, have been waiting for. It's the time that the contestants get to shed those oddly-shaped, colored shirts and instead get to feel good about themselves for once. Meanwhile, for the viewers, we get to see how far they've come and celebrate how they're so close to their goal.

Going along with the "magic" theme: Tim promises to be their "Fairy Godfather" this week. He's got three wishes for them, the first of which is the makeover. They all get led into a room full of designer clothes, where they can literally pick anything (yes, anything).

But of course, that's not all. "Stylist to the Stars" Ken Paves arrives to do everyone's hair, in hopes that he can make them look and feel good.

Before we get the chance to soak it all in, it's already time for the big reveal. Hannah is up first and she steps out of her horse-drawn carriage with blonde hair. Normally, I tell my friends that going blonde is super risky, but this totally paid off for her. Her skin is just the right tone and she looks absolutely phenomenal--she actually looks like Cinderella in her dress.

Olivia is next! She's still brunette but she has a much shorter bob and she's wearing a strapless dress to bare those collarbones she's worked so hard for. Not only does she look great, but her husband looks great, too--he's lost 75 pounds on his own at home. Seeing them together is like seeing two high schoolers at prom!

Austin is next and, just as I expected, he was shaved and coiffed (which needed to happen sometime soon before he was lost in all of his hair). His curls were short and adorable, and he looked very dapper in his tuxedo. The best thing to hear him tell Tim was how much more confident he felt as he stepped out of the carriage, which his mother could definitely tell.

Irene steps out wearing pink and lightened hair, and I think for the first time, we really get to see how pretty Irene is. Not only is she in the lead to win the whole competition, but she's also a natural beauty. Irene said she's a total girly-girl but hasn't been able to do anything she liked since she gained all the weight. Now, however, she can do all that and more! Irene's mom also arrives to see her and she's lost 75 pounds, so they both can't believe each other's looks.

Jay is last and he is looking bomb! Seriously, 10-15 years younger. He was wearing a bow-tie, everything was trimmed short and he walked with a swagger. A swagger. It was so great to see how much a makeover could give back to these contestants and how confident they really feel in themselves now.

After the makeover session, there a challenge down on the beach. Around the beach were more than 40 sandcastles shaped like SUVs, in which two had keys to a new Mazda 5. The catch: the two cars were located a quarter of a mile away down the pier, where they would have to run and see if the key turned either of the cars on. Get the key and you get the car.

Irene gets it almost right away, winning her first challenge. She promises to give the car to her mom, which is sweet. The other key isn't found until the very tail end of the challenge when Olivia picks between the final two keys and lucks out, winning the other Mazda.

After all the excitement of the week, there was only one thing left to do: the weigh-in. The results of the weigh-in were as follows:

Austin: -7 (-2.88%)
Olivia: -4 (-2.47%)
Irene: -2 (-1.30%)
Hannah: -2 (-1.28%)
Jay: -3 (-1.16%)

It was a bittersweet moment as Olivia was the last to weigh-in, propelling herself over 100 pounds lost, but also kicking Hannah below the yellow line. You could see it was tearing her apart inside until Tim appears on the screen next to Allison.

Apparently, everyone forgot about Tim's "third wish" that he still hadn't granted: he waves a hand and the yellow line is gone. It disappears. And with that, no one is going home this week.

However, because Olivia hit her 100 pounds lost mark, she agrees to sing like she promised, and she sings a character that she's never been cast as. It's incredibly moving to see her sing and emote like that--so much, in fact, that Bob *cries*. Who knew he had that emotion?

The Biggest Loser airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC.
