Adam Royer from The Real World: Las Vegas

This season, on The Real World: Las Vegas, bad boy Adam Royer is bringing the drama and keeping things interesting. Though we often see one side of him, there's a lot more to this 22 year old than you may think. Sure, the guy can knock back a drink or two... and knock some things on the ground for that matter... but he's also friendly, accepting, and motivated, among other things! We caught up with Adam in an exclusive interview today to find out more about his Real World experience and his big plans going forward.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How did you end up on The Real World this season?
A. Adam: It's so funny how I made it on the show. I never watched the show. Of course, I've seen episodes here or there but I've never watched the show. They did an open casting call in my hometown, Portland, ME. It was a big deal. No one's ever been on a show like that from around here. A bunch of my friends were going. The line was a two hour wait so we were gonna leave. As we were leaving, we tried to cut the line. We actually cut the line and it started a whole bunch of drama because they let a few people in at a time. Everyone said we cut but we said we didn't. A fight almost broke out. Me and my friend pushed our way in and we got in. That probably helped me on the show. The casting director was probably like, "This kid's already starting drama."

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What do you think the casting directors really liked about you?
A. Adam: I think my background and my unique personality. I'm one of a kind, which they liked. I have a good story of how I've been through hard times but came out on top.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Were you more nervous to tell all of America or your roommates about your past?
A. Adam: Oh, definitely not scared to tell it to America! It was all over the papers and it was in the news. Everyone who I know knows about my past. I'm not scared of people judging me, my roommates or America. I just feel like I don't want to have to say that. People don't go around saying random facts about their life. Why should anyone care that I was in juvie? If it comes up, it comes up. The whole season the roommates were like, "What's going on? You need to open up." It's like, "What do you mean, I need to open up? We're just in Vegas having a good time." They all talked about their past and I'm just kinda chillin'.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: They've shown a lot of your nights out at the club when you've been partying. When you watch that back and you see yourself, what do you think?
A. Adam: I don't know. When I'm watching it back on tv, I'm like, "Oh crap, I don't remember that night." I have no recollection for any of that. All those nights I've always had and I'm like, "What happened?" and my friends and I try to piece the night together. Now, I can piece it together.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What was it about Nany that made you more attracted to her than the other girls in the house or other girls in Vegas?
A. Adam: I don't know. I honestly don't know what it is. There's obviously tons of hot chicks in Vegas. I have no idea what it was. We had this connection when we met. Usually, people meet in pairs. This season, Nany and I were the only ones. All the roommates went in taxis and we went in a limo. We got to spend an hour or so together before we went into the house and met everyone else. We had a chance to connect. We had that right off the bat. They did a good job casting. We just clicked.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: All of the roommates have hooked up except for Mike. Do you feel bad for the guy?
A. Adam: No, I don't feel bad for Mike. He is who he is. He's not all about that. Me and Mike are like complete opposites but we get along great. I respect him for who he is. He respects me for who I am. Mike's a really cool guy. He's really chill. There's something about him... as different as he is... he's a great time.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Without giving anything away, how is your relationship with your roommates now? Do you talk to all of them?
A. Adam: Now, we all talk but it's hard because we live all over the U.S. We have things going on. We're doing our own thing. It's not like any of us are chilling all the time. We see each other here and there, when we're doing appearances or something for MTV. We can get together and go out.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What are your interests going forward? Have you thought about doing more tv or any of the MTV Challenges?
A. Adam: I'm definitely interested in doing more reality tv. Not really the challenges but I'm working on trying to get my own reality tv show. My personality, my uniqueness, my love life, everything like that could support its own show. That's really what I want. There's been 25 seasons and it was the first reality show and there's never been a show that shows what a life is like afterwards. I'm starting my own clothing line. You definitely haven't seen the last of me.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How can fans stay in touch with you?
A. Adam: My twitter name is @adamroyerMTV and I have a fan page on Facebook too. I love talking to my fans.
