The Celebrity Apprentice 4: Episode 3 Recap

Last night on the (heavily promoed) Celebrity Apprentice, it was Gary Busey's turn to take his crack at the leadership pole, in what many thought would be an epic crashing and burning of whatever Backbone had to do.

Which leads me to this week's task for the teams: market a chain of stores called Camping World, which sells RVs and other camping-related items. They'd get space in Times Square and RVs to show people around in, so it was all about presentation and branding, two things which Gary openly admits not knowing about. The women didn't have much luck, either, as only Niki had ever camped before, so she was the natural selection as leader.

Busey started out crazy, and just got crazier. He even whipped out that ever-so-famous "TEAM" acronym (you know, "together, everyone achieves more"?) to boost everyone's spirits. It wasn't working. Richard Hatch was off in a corner being sarcastic, Mark McGrath was freaking out on the phone and Jose Canseco was, well, being Jose, just chillin' in the RVs.

The only reason why the men had anything to put together was because Meat Loaf and John Rich were able to pick up everyone's slack. Seriously, everyone's slack.

Meanwhile, the women seemed to be gelling. No one was overly mad at Star for taking down Lisa, and everyone really got into the whole RV thing. Except, of course, for Dionne.

Dionne made it clear from the start that she knew nothing about camping, and she didn't have much to contribute to the task. When the women were buying supplies, she wandered aimlessly around the store, incredibly disinterested.

It all culminated in a small tiff during the task where Dionne and Niki hashed it out in front of several customers, while Latoya bounced around inside the RV just like a Price is Right model. Dionne, in her oversized t-shirt and jeans, ended the conversation by calling Niki a "hussy" and then walking away.

The men, meanwhile, are mostly lounging around minus Meat Loaf and John Rich, who are showcasing the crap out of the RVs. Gary and Jose are taking it all in, and it's really not clear where everyone else is.

In the boardroom, though, the men came from behind and Gary got the win, getting money for his charity and surviving another week, much to the shock of everyone there.

On the women's side, Niki takes the blame for everything, saying that she thought everyone worked as hard as they could (even though it was clear they hadn't). But hey, even though she was fired, at least she can walk out with her head held high and her integrity intact.
