Pidhirtsi Castle - Pidhirtsi, Ukraine

The Pidhirtsi Castle was built in 1635 by a Polish nobleman who was said to have bricked his wife into the wall for being unable to bare children.  The reports of a "White Ghostly Lady" could very well be the nobleman's wife still not at rest after her horrible death.  The Castle served as a hospital for many years by both the Nazis and Soviets from 1945 and on after its' use by the original owners.  Eventually the castle was abandoned and now sits completely empty.  The current caretakers would like to convert the castle into a museum but are scared that workers or visitors may be harmed by the spirits and paranormal activity.

Team leader Barry Fitzgerald and Kris Williams headed to the basement of the castle where it is believed that the Nazis carried out experiments on humans.  They found a satanic pentagram on the wall and you have to wonder if how often this area has been used to call evil spirits to the castle.  A strange noise would grab their attention but nothing more to report.

Britt Griffith and Joe Chin headed to the chapel to see if they could verify the reports of the white lady who has been reportedly been seen there frequently.  After Joe thought he might have seen a face in wooden fenced closet area of the wall, he began getting light headed and had the chills pass over him.  The K2 meter did not register any measurable energy in the area.  They were able to later debunk Joe's "face" experience showing how their lights were reflecting off a tarp.  Audio reviewed later would reveal some knocks responding to questions that they were asking during their EVP session.

Susan Slaughter and Paul Bradford headed to the area used for tuberculosis patients by the Soviets.  As she entered the room, she had a very sixth sense feeling that something was just not right.  As they were trying to make contact they both heard somebody climbing up the stairs behind them, but nobody was there when headed to the area of the noise.  They headed up to the second floor and Susan was again feeling a bit uneasy and then something touched her face.  When they reviewed photos taken at  that time, some type of shadow seemed to be placed on the left side of Susan.

Barry was not quick to call the castle haunted, but did believe there was real paranormal activity going on but it was safe to be opened as a museum.  Unfortunately the "White Lady" did not show her face.

Reszel Castle - Reszel, Poland

The Reszel Castle was built in 1350 and survived a fire in 1807 which destroyed almost the entire city.  A woman named Barbara was not only accused of starting the fire but accused of being a witch.  She was held in the Castles dungeon where it is reported that she was rapped many times and actually gave birth to two children.  Many believe the strange noises, voices, and footsteps heard by guests of the castle are the hauntings of the supposed witch.  A side story concerns a long time city artist who used to sit on the same stool whenever he drank in the bar.  He passed away a year ago and many people feel a cool draft from time to time while sitting in that seat.

Kris and Barry headed right to the dungeon to see if they could debunk the report of the pool table balls moving by themselves.  As they were sitting and running with the EVP session Barry jumped off the bench they were sitting on and believed something had crawled up his leg or he had been touched.  This was followed by some type of noise coming from a hollow pipe near by in the wall.  An audio recording would reveal a loud voice saying something that could not be deciphered.

Susan and Paul went to the bar and sat in the area where the famous local artist used to sit and they both experienced a very cold spot and could not blame it on any draft that might be passing through the bar.  Susan, playing bar tender, served up Paul a tall glass of ice water with a straw.  All of a sudden, the straw began to visibly move.  When they reviewed the video they believed it was just the ice moving in the cup as it was melting....or was it?

Britt and Joe were the next to investigate the castle's tower dungeon where people were brought right before they were executed by an ax man.  Joe believed he was hearing some murmuring and this was followed by a noise that Britt noticed coming from above them.  Nothing significant was caught on audio or video.

GHI would not call the castle haunted but there was some interesting paranormal activity experienced by the team.
