On the finale of The Amazing Race, teams started the final leg in Los Angeles dead even but it became clear early on that Nat and Kat were going to coast all the way to the finish line. Their quick thinking and luck with cabs helped bring them the win, making them the first ever all female team to win The Amazing Race. Coming in second was another all female team, tv hosts Brook and Claire, who entertained us non-stop throughout the race and proved that girly girls can be tough too! Today, we caught up with Brook and Claire in an exclusive interview about their experiences on the race.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Whose idea was it to go on The Amazing Race?
A. Brook: I sent in a video because my fiancé wanted to do it a long time ago. We sent it in and had a casting director call us but then we didn't hear anything. All of a sudden, they call us back and asked if I had a friend. I was like, "Oh my gosh, my rooomate, my best friend!" They loved her, of course!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You two worked really well together and remained positive throughout the entire race. Was that a conscious decision to approach the race that way, going in?
A. Claire: I just think that's how Brook and I are throughout life and dealing with our careers. We carried that on throughout the race. We had a great time every single day! When we're under pressure, we just laugh! I don't know if that's our natural instinct but definitely seeing each other in these different circumstances, I thought that was the greatest thing ever. We always have a good time! My friends and family said they loved watching the show because we were just us.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Claire, could they show the "watermelon to the face" footage anymore?
A. Claire: If I see a watermelon one more time... no, I mean, it was everywhere! I told my husband, "I'll just watch CNN from here on out" and then Anderson Cooper had it on! I was like, "Oh my God..." I watched The Weather Channel for a week straight. It was on Talk Soup and ESPN. I got Worst Play of the Year!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Brook, any idea how many people the two of you kissed on the race? I heard it was somewhere around 9 or 10.
A. Brook: I think it was over that actually! Claire, what do you think?
A. Claire: I think it was around 11. I lost count after that!

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How close were you in that final leg to Nat and Kat?
A. Brook: Everyone at the finish line said we were about 15 minutes behind them. That was their guess. In the race, that's super close! L.A. traffic. Hello? Jill and Thomas didn't come in until two hours later.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You seemed genuinely happy that Nat and Kat won. What were you feeling when you finally reached the finish line?
A. Brook: We were so proud and happy that The Amazing Race had an all female team. It was my hope that when we ran in, it would either be us or Nat and Kat.
A. Claire: We said that on our first leg that we wanted to help each other. We knew we wanted an all female team to win.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How has being on The Amazing Race changed your lives, personally or professionally?
A. Brook: Oh god, professionally?
A. Claire: Professionally, I am out of work! I took a watermelon to the face. I barfed on national television. I haven't gotten any job offers.
A. Brook: It's looking a bit rough for the both of us. No, I think that people have had the opportunity to see the true us. I think that's what viewers want. They don't want fake, plastic people. They want real people.
