The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was on hiatus last week for Thanksgiving so it was great to see it again! I think we have all become addicted to this, the apparently richest of rich Housewives enterprise yet! 

 

This episode starts with Kim and Kyle getting facials since Kim is being fixed up on a blind date. Lisa has decided to fix Kim up with Ken’s best friend Martin, who typically likes tall brunettes with no children. 

 

Taylor is realizing, perhaps somewhat conveniently, that her daughter Kennedy is allergic to the little Maltese that Russell bought her for her birthday. The pediatrician agrees and although Taylor didn’t want the dog, she now is sad she might have to take it away from her daughter. Russell buys a little time for the dog, but I guess we will see…

 

Camille is shopping for a dress for the Tony’s since Kelsey was nominated for one. She takes her house manager with her, and meets up with the stylist from Fraser. The house manager and the stylist seem to know each other quite well, which begs the viewer to question whether the house manager has actually been around longer than Camille, in Kelsey’s life and just tolerates her. They both fawn over Camille when she tries on her dresses, and she does look great in them! 

 

It is Adrienne and Paul’s 8th anniversary, and Paul wants to surprise Adrienne.  He plans a fancy dinner at home, and Adrienne seems less than impressed but when he takes her outside and introduces her to her gift, a beautiful German shepherd, she is thrilled! 

Most of the show revolves around Kim getting ready to meet her blind date at a party being held for Lisa.  Kim takes her daughter Kimberly (yes, Kim and Kimberly…) to lunch to talk about it. 

 

Lisa’s friend Muhammad (How can this person be MY friend?? He lives in the 60,000 sg ft house in Beverly Hills the likes of which I have never even seen in magazines before..) is throwing a party for her, and Lisa, Ken and Martin show up. The house is gorgeous. Adrienne and Paul, Kyle and Mauricio, and Taylor and Russell attend the party, but when Camille is mentioned, it sounds like she wasn’t invited or even spoken to since the ridiculous argument that she couldn’t let go of, in New York.  Kim shows up late, and in a tiny little leopard dress that probably isn’t exactly the “classiest” pick for the upscale party.

 

Kim and Martin seem to hit it off, but everyone is watching them, so it is awkward and really it seems like they have no chance with everyone’s eyes on them and the pressure on them to get along! Poor Kim! Plus, it didn’t sound like Kim was really Martin’s type to begin with.  At one point Kim disappears and it turns out another party guest has stolen her away to hit on her! Go Kim!

 

 Kyle and Mauricio are all over each other at the party, maybe because there is love in the air, and they don’t have their kids with them? Taylor looks on a bit longingly, and asks Kyle to lunch to ask her about her marriage since she isn’t exactly super happy with her own husband. Kyle says that Mauricio is her biggest fan and has been since the beginning. Taylor doesn’t get that from Russell and is really sad about it. But, she still thinks of her marriage as more of a business relationship…
