On this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills the girls are getting ready to go to New York to see Kelsey Grammar in La Cage. The tension is still there between Camille and Kyle and they haven’t seen each other since their weird conversation (that was OFF camera) in Las Vegas.
Camille tells Nick, her (only?) friend, all about it and then has some friends over to dinner including Nick’s wife Tricia, who she jokes with about sitting next to Nick and how he is her loaner husband when hers is away.
Taylor visits Kyle to go shopping with her at House of Petro Zillia, which is a pretty standard scene, while Adrienne and Kim are shopping together and Adrienne receives a call that her uncle has passed away. She leaves immediately and has to bow out of the New York trip, to Camille’s dismay.
Lisa hires Tom Silver, a rather famous hypnotherapist, to come help Kyle get over her fear of flying and Kyle thinks it has worked, and feels better about the trip.
Camille goes ahead of the girls to look over her recently remodeled 3500 sq ft apartment in New York, which is too small for her, her kids, the help, and her husband. Her husband comes home to the apartment and plays with the kids, who have been scarce when he is not around, during the scenes. Later, she has her mom join her to get Camille’s nails done while her mom sits there. Her mom has cancer, and so Camille talks about how she went for a genome test that she is recovering from, she is trying to produce a show and she is still on Hawaii Time…and once again the conversation is all about Camille being so busy and tired. Yawn…
The rest of the girls go to the airport and discuss the weirdness between Kyle and Camille.
As soon as the girls all check in to the Dream Hotel, where Camille meets them, Kyle pulls Camille aside to mend fences. Camille stands by the fact that Kyle was interrogating her about her trip to Hawaii, while Kyle says she was just trying to be nice. When they agree to disagree, Camille says she is very “shy”. She says this about 6 times, and Kyle says there is no need for her to be “insecure” about anything. That sets Camille off again, as she doesn’t think she is insecure and never said that…either way, they seem to have settled it when everyone splits up to go get freshened up for dinner.
Once the girls sit down for dinner, Camille brings up the conversation again, which sets Kyle off and upsets her. As a viewer, watching this scene, it is really confusing because none of us were able to see the original altercation, but obviously Camille is not willing to let it go, and it’s pissing Kyle off. We will see what happens next time as the argument continues about Kyle interrogating Camille and calling her insecure. The part that we did see, the “insecure” comment is totally bogus, and one wonders if this is just ANOTHER way for Camille to keep the spotlight on Camille? Am I having Déjà vu? Is this Bethenny Frankel and Kelly Bensimon “I’m up here, you are down here, satchels of gold” all over again??
