The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Tonight’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills covers two over the top birthday parties and a lot of involvement with the children.

Taylor and Kyle are both planning their daughter’s birthday parties.  Taylor is doing a big over the top tea party, while Kyle is doing a petting zoo and train. Taylor’s daughter is turning 4 and Kyle’s daughter is turning 2.

Lisa has her daughter Pandora over for dinner, and she talks about how much she misses her son Max. Max is an adopted son whose life has run off course a tad bit, so Lisa and Ken decided to send him to be with his God mother in Idaho for his last year of high school. Later, Lisa has her birthday at Villa Blanca and Max surprises her. He is there to celebrate her day and also check out the Musicians Institute, a college he would like to go to.

Camille is very busy organizing her Hawaii trip, which involves bringing along her 2 nannies, her 2 kids, and her House Manager. She says she does 30% more than anyone else in the house…but what exactly? Her big decision on camera is to have her hot tub heated but not to have Kelsey’s hot tub heated since he is not going to be there. Once she gets to Hawaii, she wants to relax.  She lays by the pool and talks about how she gave up her own life to focus on Kelsey’s sobriety.  She goes to the beach, and then has some friends over to talk about how generous and amazing she is while she is in her heated hot tub.

Taylor’s $60,000 birthday party for her daughter goes over like a led balloon when her unamused daughter Kennedy pouts the ENTIRE time and wants nothing to do with photos or a tea party. She plays in the dirt over on the side during the party, while Taylor takes advantage of the photographer being there. When Adrienne and Lisa show up, Adrienne wonders how many of these types of parties are actually for the adults as they drink champagne and visit, but there are plenty of kids there, they are just playing in the dirt instead of fancying it up at the tea table…proving once again, kids will be kids. Taylor wants it to be a big deal that she is giving her daughter a diamond Barbie necklace but is overshadowed when her awkward and humorless husband Russell goes against her wishes and buys little pouty Kennedy a tiny white Maltese puppy.

Lisa heads over to Kyle’s daughter’s party, and at $12,000 it is a lot more “kid friendly” with the petting zoo and is more of a family event which makes Lisa and Ken more relaxed. Lisa see’s Kyle and thinks of her own time as a mother to children that young, and admits to missing it.
