Bissman Building - Mansfield, Ohio

Built in 1886 and used as a grocery whole sale store for its first century of existence, the Bissman building is part museum, part office, and part old car rehab center.  Most of the building is a shell of itself and looks like it's about to collapse at any time, which fits right in with the area.  Although the paranormal activity can not be completely associated to one event, a worker was decapitated in an elevator accident some time in the past.  There does seem to be an angry spirit which interacts with the living and may have physically attacked one of the workers....and was even collaborated by another employee.  Other paranormal activities include doors slamming, voices...including that of a little girl, shadow figures, and people being touched.  Mansfield has a reputation for paranormal activity so no surprise TAPS is back in Ohio for another investigation.

Britt Griffith and K.J. McCormick are the first to be shown investigating the building, specifically the basement where voices are said to be heard, as well as, dark shadowy figures.  Both Britt and K.J. were quick to notice a human-like figure facing them on the other side of the room.  They confirmed that no-one else was in the basement.   As they continued their EVP session, K.J. felt a tug on the back of his shirt.   They headed upstairs and were again encountering a shadowy figure.  Britt kept waiting for the right moment for it to show itself completely, and when it did he chased after it...why...I don't know.  Seems like it would have been better to have the camera directed in that area instead of on his face.

TAPS co-founders Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson started their investigation in the upstairs area where a shadow figure is said to have attacked one of the employees that gave them the initial tour of the building.  On two different occasions they believed they heard a male voice and tried to get it to communicate with them.  They heard a lot of footsteps around them but no other major activities occurred.  Next stop was the garage filled with old cars in rehab, quite a collection and similar to the car museum at the "Imperial Palace" in Las Vegas.  They continued to hear some noises and then at one point Grant thought he might have seen a shadow figure and they could not debunk the visual.

Dave Tango and Steve Gonsalves headed to the basement.  They thought they may have caught a great shadow figure but it was just another team member casting a shadow from the outside.   The important item to point out though is that maybe some of the reports of "shadows" have been debunked.  Unfortunately, no other activity was recorded.

Amy Bruni and Kris Williams investigated the main floor office area and, as they were running their EVP session, Amy believed that a door leading to the garage moved.  No additional paranormal activity followed, so they moved on.  They headed to the basement, but it was all quiet on the front.

Jason and Grant were pretty impressed with the amount of shadow figures they, and the rest of the team, experienced.  They were also able to present the client an EVP of something responding to one of their questions saying "Hello."  They also caught another audio of somebody walking around one of their cameras that they had left upstairs and no one was upstairs or in the building at the time.  Jason and Grant didn't come out and call the Bissman building haunted, but they were intrigued by the activity the team experienced

FYI, "Ghost Lab" is back for another season.  It's on the Discovery channel on Tuesday nights.  No "Housewives" on this ghost hunting show.
