On the premier episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 3 we catch up with all of the girls except Lisa Wu Hartwell, who will not be on this season. Instead, we will be meeting two new girls, Phaedra, top attorney in Atlanta, and Cynthia, a beautiful model planning her wedding. 

Sheree has put She by Sheree on hold to focus on her acting career. Nene is having some trouble in her marriage with Greg. Kim has “come out” as having a bisexual relationship in a magazine, Kandi is finally dating again after losing A.J. but taking things slow, and Dwight is allegedly spreading rumors about how much money he is loaning/donating to everyone.

NeNe is truly upset when she hears that Dwight has told Kim that he leant Greg $10,000. She admits the tables have turned since Greg’s real estate business has slowed and NeNe is now the bread winner of the family. NeNe confronts Greg about the $10,000 rumor from Dwight and Greg denies it and says they did go in on an investment together, with $500 each that was supposed to return an additional $200 each and it didn’t pan out. NeNe feels like both Dwight and Greg are lying to her.

Kim’s engagement to Big Papa is off since he is still married and she did experiment with a woman but wasn’t in love with her. Her daughter is getting older and over an open mouth of milky white ice cream, tells her mom that she has already had her first kiss…blech…

We meet Wallis D McGahee, professional football player and Kandi’s beau currently; although she swears she is going to be celebate for 2010. Wallis seems okay with it as long as “oral sex” isn’t off limits.

We also meet Phaedra, an accomplished attorney, very pregnant and married to a younger man named Apollo who we later find out did some white collar jail time. She claims she is a true Southern Belle, and is friends with both Kandi and Dwight.  She visits Dwight and in between his jabs about her weight he talks about how he put $30,000 of his own money into the She by Sheree fashion show. Phaedra suggests that he talk to her about it because Sheree probably doesn’t have the money to pay Dwight back. 

Later, there is a shoe preview at B Chic Boutique. Sheree and Lawrence go, and Sheree is looking forward to confronting the gossip about the $30,000 he keeps talking about. Kim and NeNe are also looking forward to the party, but in the limo NeNe is getting more and more riled up about the $10,000 rumor. At the party, she won’t hug Dwight and confront him but never actually says anything. Dwight keeps his mouth shut and doesn’t say a word. Finally, NeNe leaves in anger with Kim, Sheree and Lawrence, but later regrets her temper because she never was able to talk to Dwight about what the reality of the situation actually was!
