Peach Carr from Project Runway Season 8

Last night on Project Runway, the remaining designers were given the difficult challenge of transforming stereotypically horrendous bridesmaid dresses into fashion-forward, trendy outfits. Some really impressed the judges while others fell flat. Because of Peach's poor fabric choices, she was sent home. Today, she spoke with reporters and RealityWanted about her time in the competition.

Q. Lindsay, RealityWanted: Coming into this competition, what was it like being the only older contestant? Did you find there were any advantages or disadvantages?
A. Peach: No, none at all. It was the elephant in the room, so I just addressed it. Designers are designers and it had no bearing on anything.

Q. Lindsay, RealityWanted: Do you think you were able to stay within your personal style when designing, or did you have to adapt it at all to fit the show?
A. Peach: I think there was some of my style in the designers. But if I were going to say how I designed on the show, I would call it panic-design. They called me countryclub-chic but on the show there was no time to do that.

Q. Lindsay, RealityWanted: You had a very personable and positive attitude while on the show. How did you initially react coming into Project Runway where there are all these crazy, out-there personalities?
A: Peach: I was so excited to meet everyone and thrilled that there were so many different personalities. Artists are such crazy, fun people-to make a generalization. I was so excited to be thrown in into this mix.

Q. Some of the judges said you weren't as edgy as the other contestants. How would you respond to that?
A. Peach: I wouldn't call my aesthetic boring, but there was a lot of subtly. I'm not an edgy designer. When I look back on it now, I definitely would agree that I played it safe.

Q. What did you struggle with most during your time on the show?
A. Peach: I was so overwhelmed with my time in Mood. The main thing I struggled with was fabric choice.

Q. What was your favorite thing about being on the show?
A. Peach: Being in that unbelievably creative environment. I really liked seeing what these other designers were doing and being in this artistic think-tank. It thrilled me to see April, Andy and Mondo's creative processes.

Q. You came in being a fanatic of the show. What was it like being there?
A. Peach: It was very surreal-that first moment of standing there in Lincoln Center, with Heidi and Tim and the cameras was incredible. It was very overwhelming to be standing there.

Q. You said you knew you were going to be in the bottom. What happened?
A. Peach: I had an exchange with another contestant right before the challenge. I realized that I was surrounded by some people that really would do anything to win and that derailed me a little-they made a personal attack about my family and I was surprised by that. I was really kind of broken-hearted by that. I made an unfortunate fabric choice after that and it was never going to work after I made that skirt.
