Rock Control, an online web project, is encouraging music fans to make history by selecting, launching and managing their very own band with the intention of creating and releasing one song, simultaneously, into the Global music charts with the intention of defying music industry experts and taking that global No.1 slot.

Launched on the 1st June, Rock Control, is appealing to music fans to register, for free, to become band managers and engage in the first stage of project, deciding who is in the final line-up. These band managers are encouraged to search the internet for up and coming drummers, guitarist, singers, bass players and other talents to upload their audition for a chance to be in the final line-up.

The website is also calling on artists, with a passion to make music history, to also put themselves forward by uploading an audition to the website and inspiring their friends, family and the rest of the world to vote for them to be in the final-line up, propelling their music onto a global stage.

Mark Bowness, co-founder of Rock Control explains, “All over the world individuals are passionate about music, but do they know enough about music to defy the music 'experts' as they decide who they want to be in their very own band, make decisions on the look and feel of the band, select which media opportunities they should take and ultimately release one song into the Global charts, storming the global music charts for that No.1 slot? We are about to find out.”

Rock Control is a cross between X Factor for bands, with a unique online twist, that is set to take talent show formats that one step further by not simply asking the public to vote for the winner but to then go on to play the role of band manager as they make all the crucial decisions required to take the band to the very top.

Since the launch of the project, Rock Control, has gained over 190 auditions, spanning over 22 Countries, all music hopefuls who are inspiring the public to vote for them to be in the final line-up. Although voting does not start until the end of August, creative rock star wannabe's have launched their very own online campaigns setting up 'Vote for me to win Rock Control' facebook groups, of which there are now over 40.

The project has also amassed over 5,000 registrations from music fan's who are passionate about making music history and managing the band. 

Mark Bowness further comments, 'I am personally calling upon the global public to get involved in this music history making project. We will work towards our very own 'rock til you drop' events where we will announce just how well the public's band have done and then, band and band managers alike, will party until dawn'.
