"Put on a Happy Face"

Last season on the Hills "man-eater" Kristin Cavillari moved to LA. She caused a bit of a conflict when she went after Audrina's on-again-off-again ex Justin Bobby. Even once, Audrina broke it off with him for good, Kristin and Justin didn't work out. Kristin found that she still has chemistry with her ex- Brody, but lately Brody and Audrina have seem to hit it off. Married life hasn't been so sweet for Heidi and Spence either. Heidi wants a baby but what she finds is that she just really needed a change.

Stephanie and Lo meet for lunch and discuss the possibility of going to Miami with the boys for Super bowl weekend. Stephanie feels out of the loop because of her judicial situation. She has been in and out of jail twice now for her drink problem. She is now on probation for her DUI and is struggling to work through her addiction by going to AA meetings. But nevertheless, she is still in for the Miami trip. Lo has invited Kristin to come because she and Audrina have settled their differences.

The girls head out to Miami. Lo thinks Audrina and Brody with hook up by the end of the trip. Stephanie hopes not because it will cause drama with Kristin. That night everyone goes out for the Maxim Super bowl Party and Audrina and Brody go off to the bar together. They start flirting and it seems that Brody is really interested in Audrina, which annoys Kristin. That night Kristin doesn't get in until five in the morning and wakes up looking a little more than just hung over. The girls think she is acting very strange and decides to stay in that night.

That night all of the girls hang out at the hotel and Kristin doesn't show up. She is out with her friend Stacie at a club and completely ignores the girls' texts. The girls understand that Kristin is mad that Audrina and Brody are hanging out. They think she might be on drugs because of her red morning eyes and mood swings.

The next morning the girls get ready to leave for the airport and Kristin is still fast asleep. They go into her room to wake her up and as they pull back the covers two of Kristin's friends run out. She slowly gets up and puts on sunglasses. As she is getting packed up the girls go into the other room and start talking about her. They wonder why she has been acting so weird and wearing sunglasses so early in the morning. Kristin hears them and confronts them about it. Lo tells her that they think she might be on drugs because of her behavior and weight.

Kristin denies everything and tries to defend her behavior, but Lo, Stephanie and Audrina don't seem convinced.

Heidi goes to Colorado to visit her mother and show her all the surgery she has gotten. When her mom sees her face she is drawn to tears. Heidi's mom thinks that her face is awkward and weird she hopes with time it will all go away. Heidi asks her mother if she thinks she looks pretty, and her mother answers honestly and says no. Heidi lists all of the surgeries that she had and her mom is sad that she had risked her life for something so unnecessary. She doesn't understand why she would do this when she had always been so beautiful and confident. But Heidi still isn't completely happy; she still wants bigger boobs. She explains that she did what she did because of everything she's been through. She starts to cry, but other that her red eyes it was difficult to tell because nothing else on her face moved.

Heidi and her family go out to dinner. She feels that she wanted to be happy and couldn't fix who she was without fixing what she didn't like about herself on the outside. But still her family doesn't understand why her unhappiness had come to this.
