Tonight's episode of The Real Housewives of New York City has several compelling scenes. First, Bethenny visits Alex, because the two have become rather close. Bethenny appreciates the low maintenance friendship the two of them have. Over lunch, Bethenny springs that she and Jason are engaged and Alex is the first person she has told. Congrats Bethenny!
Ramona and Sonja have lunch the day after the Kodak event and talk about how snarky everyone was about Ramona after she left. Sonja also brings up the fact that after seeing Kelly numerous times in St. Bart's over the years, when they met at the Kodak event, Kelly acted like she didn't know Sonja at all. Sound familiar? This happened with Bethenny last season. Secondly, she brings up the fact that Kelly will not admit that she dated Max, who Sonja also dated. But, Sonja thinks it is just a part of her being lost in "Kelly land".
Later, Ramona has lunch with her daughter Avery, who is growing up a lot, and asks her to be her Maid of Honor to which she agrees.LuAnn is looking for an apartment in Manhattan now that her townhouse has been sold as part of the divorce. She is shocked at the prices. At the same time, Jill is having her sister and mother over to discuss the book that they are writing together and Kelly is in the Hampton's cooking breakfast (poorly) for her daughters.
While in the Hampton's; LuAnn, Kelly and Sonja meet for dinner and drinks. Kelly and LuAnn immediately start talking about Ramona at the Kodak event. Kelly says she needs medication, and that she is offensive, abrasive and combative. LuAnn says most of what she says is a joke, but Kelly is more serious about it. The conversation turns to meeting men and Kelly admits that most guys just want to have fun and she is looking for a man to marry and have more children with. She loves children. To which LuAnn says, "Of course you do, you are a child!" Sonja says it'd be nice to find a man that doesn't cheat. Kelly seems shocked and doesn't know why she brought that up, and asks if Sonja's husband cheated. She doesn't answer. Kelly feels like she wouldn't have brought it up unless she wanted to talk about it because it has happened to her.
The last scene is at the Gotham Magazine Event celebrating the 100 most eligible bachelors in NYC. Kelly is nervous since she invited the other girls and they are all such wild cards. First comes Ramona and Mario, and they talk a little. Ramona says she is totally over their altercation at the Kodak event. Next comes Jill and Bobby. Jill is just hoping Ramona stays away since the Kodak sabotage. LuAnn and Sonja show up, then Alex and Simon. During the party, LuAnn confronts Mario in Italian about him not apologizing for his comments way back in the first episode of the season. He still doesn't apologize so LuAnn says it is just water under the bridge. Bethenny and Jason show up late and as soon as they walk over, LuAnn and Jill leave the area where all the rest of the cast is visiting. Bethenny announces she is engaged and all the ladies, minus Jill and LuAnn, are there and congratulate her.
A little bit later, Kelly walks over to LuAnn and Jill and shares with them that Bethenny has announced her engagement. At the same time, Jason is walking by and says hello to them. They congratulate him but Jill feels awkward and terrible. It seems she is starting to realize the enormity of the situation. She goes to find Bobby. While she is finding him, LuAnn confronts Bethenny and congratulates her. She then asks her why she attacked her at the fashion show, to which Bethenny apologizes. Finally, Bethenny realizes Jill will not be speaking to her, and starts to leave with Jason. While outside waiting for their car, Jill runs out with Bobby and stops Bethenny. She says she was waiting for Bobby, and congratulates her. She coos over the size of the ring. The entire time, Bethenny just keeps saying "Thank you" and the scene is super uncomfortable. Bethenny says later that she just wants it to be over, and she is just done with Jill. Jason even tells Jill that they don't want the drama. At the same time, it seems like Jill is having a change of heart and realizing that she has missed all of the good things that are happening to Bethenny and needs to find a way to resolve the situation.
