Last night, on Kell On Earth, Robyn works to staff People's Revolution as quickly as possible. Kelly pops in on a job interview and takes a liking to one candidate, Mallory, who is offered a position right then and there. She doesn't come cheap, though. Mallory wants $70K a year to start and Kelly's still trying to figure out how she's going to pay her bills.
George Wayne, a contributing editor for Vanity Fair and friend of Kelly's, comes to People's Rev with a favor. He is throwing a party and wants the staff to help him with the invites with only a week to go before the event. He mentions that he'd love the mayor to attend and Michelle jumps on her PDA to email her friend at the mayor's office to ask if there's any way he would be able to attend. George flips out on her and screams that being on her phone during the meeting is rude. Oh wait, you thought that was rude? He doesn't to pay them any money for their services.
Ready Kelly's sign: "F You, pay for advice!" Preach it!!
Time out, we have a problem with Mallory. She was arrested for stealing tens of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry. Sounds like the job offer is being revoked.
We catch an inside glimpse into Stefanie Skinner's life and her teeny tiny apartment. Her boyfriend, Alano, stop over for a quick bite to eat but she has a tough time parting ways with her PDA. When they go out for drinks later in the week, not only does she work, but Emily stops by too and interrupts their date. Is Skinner's life People's Rev and nothing else?
Plan B for Robyn: Grace, who was recommended to her by an editor at New York Magazine. Provided she's not a thief or a camera whore, she could have a bright future with the company.
Kelly takes off to L.A. to visit one of her satellite offices and meets with a potential new client, MyStudio. Her next meeting comes with friend Rick Ross, owner of Delicious Vinyl, who wants her to help him get his clothes onto the pages of magazines.
Alano stops by the office to see Stefanie, who says she won't be free until Saturday. P.S. It's Tuesday. Andrew tries to convince her to leave and spend time with her boyfriend, but she declines. Honestly, she doesn't even seem too broken up that she can't spend as much time with Alano as she can. It kind of seems that she enjoys Andrew's presence more than her own boyfriend.
Graces gets thrown right into things from the minute she walks in the door. At the end of the day, she asks Stefanie if she needs anything else, Stefanie says no, and Grace takes off. Sounds okay, except that Kelly has a rule that nobody leaves until everything is done. Stefanie says that she didn't tell her to leave, she just told her she didn't need help. It seems like a misunderstanding but Kelly doesn't care. She yells at Stefanie, she yells at Emily, and everyone's in trouble for it.
Kelly has Grace come back and Stefanie, the control freaks, tries to say that she has it. She won't let anyone else do anything and her life is quickly being consumed by her work. You probably saw this coming, because I did, but Alano wants some time to figure things out and ends things with her.
