Tonight, on Project Runway, Heidi tells the designers that they better deliver a look that is "picture perfect", because they'll be designing for her and the winner will be featured on the cover of Marie Claire magazine. That's huge!

Tim Gunn and Editor-In-Chief of Marie Clair Joanna Coles meet with the contestants to give them some tips: don't use black, make sure the colors stand out, use detail on the top half of the outfit since that's usually what is shot for the cover, and stay away from complicated patterns. At mood, it looks like blue is a popular color, though Emilio ran by with some bright magenta fabric.

 

Back in the workroom, Seth Aaron annoys everyone with his immature antics. The designers are just trying to finish their looks and he's talking to himself, acting up, and distracting them from their work.

 

On to people who are actually working...

 

Anna has only made one piece per challenge thus far in the competition but she's taking a risk by attempting to do three in one day. Janeane freaks a little when she realizes that her look is very bridal and she doesn't do bridal.

 

Mila does nothing but criticize the work of others, hating on their color choices and feeling that no one is really her competition here.

 

When Tim makes the rounds, Anthony doesn't seem to have a clear idea for the dress that he's working on. Ben's dress looked promising until he whipped out some metallic fabric that Tim said cheapened it. No kidding! There's some concern that Emilio won't finish his in time but I have faith.

 

On the runway, my favorite looks come from Anthony, Emilio, Ben, and Jonathan. I was on the fence with Mila and Jay but mostly because of color choice.

 

Seth Aaron, Jay, Maya, Jesse, Jonathan, and Amy all have scores that put them through to the next round. Ben, Anthony, and Emilio land in the top group - yay!  I'm good!   Both Mila and Janeane receive harsh feedback for their color choices. Anna is criticized because her outfit does not give Heidi any shape at all and for completely missing the mark with the magazine and the reader.

 

Anthony is the winner!  Emilio and Ben are obviously safe, as well as Mila.  Janeane and Anna are left in the bottom but it's Anna who is headed home.

 

Project Runway airs Thursdays at 10/9c on Lifetime.
