Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains

by Gina Scarpa

For Survivor fans like me, it has been a long wait since the first all star installment in season 8. Sure, there was Micronesia (aka Fans Vs. Favorites) but I question how many "favorites" were actually there. Don't worry, Ozzy. I'm not talking about you. Now, Mark Burnett and Survivor have returned for season 20 with a bang. The Heroes Vs. Villains concept is brilliant and brings back some of the best, most memorable, awesome players any Survivor fan could ask for.

It's not going to be easy for these players to outwit, outplay, and outlast the competition. Each has been asked back because of their superb skills in the game... skills that everyone has already seen, with the exception of my man Russell, who has the advantage of having filmed this before anybody saw his evil doings in Samoa. How will previous million dollar winners be treated? (If the first All Stars is any indication, not well, since Tina Wesson was voted out first.) Will Parvati try to start another all female alliance or make some poor villainous male sap her "bad cop"? And what the heck is Sugar doing on the heroes tribe? All of these questions and more will be answered tomorrow night, when Heroes Vs. Villains gets underway!

Here are the teams.

Heroes
Rupert Boneham, 45, Indianapolis, IN (Pearl Islands, All Stars)
James Clement, 32, Lafayette, LA (China, Micronesia)
Colby Donaldson, 35, Christoval, TX (Australian Outback, All Stars)
Cirie Fields, 39, Jersey City, NJ (Panama: Exile Island, Micronesia)
Amanda Kimmel, 25, Kalispell, MT (China, Micronesia)
Jessica "Sugar" Kiper, 29, Baton Rouge, LA (Gabon)
Stephenie LaGrossa, 29, Glenolden, PA (Palau, Guatemala)
J.T. Thomas, 25, Samson, AL (Tocantins)
Tom Westman, 45, Long Island, NY (Palau)
Candice Woodcock, 27, Fayetteville, NC (Cook Islands)

Villains
Tyson Apostol, 29, Linden, UT (Tocantins)
Randy Bailey, 50, Austin, TX (Gabon)
Danielle DiLorenzo, 28, Boston, MA (Panama: Exile Island)
Russell Hantz, 37, Dayton, TX (Samoa)
Jerri Manthey, 33, Boston, MA (Australia, All Stars)
Rob Mariano, 33, Boston, MA (Marquesas, All Stars)
Parvati Shallow, 27, Atlanta, GA (Cook Islands, Micronesia)
Sandra Diaz-Twine, 34, Stamford, CT (Pearl Islands)
Bejamin "Coach" Wade, 38, Susanville, CA (Tocantins)
Courtney Yates, 28, Boston, MA (China)

This season's celebrity blogger is no stranger to Samoa's Russell Hantz. In fact, she lived with him for two weeks as part of the Foa Foa tribe. Part of that infamous "dumb girl alliance", Ashley Trainer is a whole lot more than Russell took her for and the experience of being on Survivor, for her, was a great one. "Since Survivor, life has been awesome," she told RealityWanted. "I am currently working at Target Corporation in downtown Minneapolis in Human Resources. I absolutely love it! I am also going to be moving to downtown Minneapolis in April. It will be my first home that I will either be purchasing or renting on my own, whichever is the best option for me."

Ashley is eager to share her thoughts with RealityWanted readers each week, saying, "I am so excited to start blogging. I went from being a fan, to playing the game and now blogging! I have been so fortunate to be able to take these steps." She even has a few predictions: "I think this season is going to be filled with twists and turns. Knowing that Russell is participating, I know we can expect more of his sabotage and silly games he likes to play. With a mix of heroes and villains, it's going to be an exciting season. I can't wait to watch some of my favorite players play the game again!"

Each week, Ashley will be giving us her insight into the strategies of the heroes and villains competing for one million dollars. Read Survivor recaps, check out exclusive interviews with the eliminated players, and don't miss her blog each week throughout the season!

Stay tuned to RealityWanted for more exclusive Survivor coverage, including pictures and interviews from the 10-year Survivor reunion party!
