On tonight’s episode of Survivor: Samoa, Shambo feels completely alienated from the Galu tribe after not being filled in about voting Yasmin out.  The Galu tribe reminds me of mean little middle school girls, the way that they pick on Sham.  There’s absolutely no reason to hate on her, just because she’s an individual and she’s not 10 years younger.  It’s obnoxious.

 

Tree mail arrives at camp and a food challenge is a-brewin’.  There’s nothing worse than watching Survivors down some local food without puking it back up.  Probst will spin the wheel and blend up items to make a Samoan Smoothie.  It sounds and looks horrifying. 

The winning tribe will receive GOOD food to bring back to camp so that’s probably worth playing for.  Galu sits out Kelly, Laura, and John.  Lucky S.O.B.s…

 

Honestly, I’d rather eat the food than drink it.  I just spent the last 10 minutes screaming, covering my ears, and looking anywhere but at my tv.

 

Everyone was able to finish their smoothie, with the exception of Ashley so Galu wins reward.  I wouldn’t even have gotten one sip down so I give these players a lot of credit.  Russell S. sends Shambo over to Foa Foa, which pisses her off because that means she’ll miss out on reward. 

 

Side note: I love when Russell S. tries to act like he’s really the leader of this Galu tribe.  No one listens to him and honestly, he doesn’t really know what he’s doing when it comes to being in charge.

 

When Shambo starts looking for the immunity idol at camp, Liz starts to become convinced that Russell H. has it.  She confronts him on it and he lies, of course, saying he doesn’t have it and then threatens to orchestrate her exit if she doesn’t shut her mouth and believe him.

 

A huge rainstorm has pounded Samoa and is making things absolutely miserable for these people.  At the immunity challenge, coconuts will be thrown into a net by the opposing tribe and players will have to hold it up for as long as they possibly can.  Galu sits out Dave, Brett, and Shambo.  I think the steaks did Galu some good because they can’t seem to miss when it comes to throwing those coconuts!  They make quick work of Russell H. and Liz and just like that, Galu wins immunity.

 

Because of the rain, no one can exactly run around the Foa Foa camp and scheme or scramble.  Without saying much of anything, it seems like it’s going to come down to Liz or Ashley.

 

At tribal council, Liz seems totally convinced that she’s not going home.  After all, she did perform very well in the challenge but on the other hand, she’s not as close with people as Ashley is.  I can’t imagine that Russell or Natalie will be writing Ashley’s name down tonight.  Here come the votes and... a little surprisingly... it's Ashley who is going home tonight.

 

Survivor: Samoa airs Thursdays at 8pm ET on CBS.
