On tonight’s episode of The Hills, Brody’s girlfriend Jayde organizes a surprise birthday party for him, but it is Kristin who gets the surprise.

Kristin and Justin are really becoming an item and hang out at the beach and go surfing together at Kristin’s Malibu beach house. Kristin wants to go to Brody’s party with Justin and when she asks him he agrees that he will go.

Audrina is still not going out and enjoying the night seen with the rest of the girls. When she and Stephanie meet for pedicures she asks her what boys are on the horizon. Audrina and Justin’s mutual friend, Derek has come back into the picture and asked Audrina out for a lunch date. Stephanie is convinced that Audrina only wants to go out with him because it would make Justin jealous. She swears that is not the case; she just likes him.

The surprise pool party that his girlfriend Jayde set up for him blows Brody away. Lo and Stephanie wonder if Kristin and Justin are really together since she is there, but he isn’t. Kristin tells them that they are a couple, and that she isn’t sure why he hasn’t shown up yet but is anxious for him to come.

Brody opens Kristin’s present a couple of naughty sex toys, and Jayde is uncomfortable with how much attention that Brody is giving his ex-girlfriend, Kristin. She especially hates how well Brody’s mom and Kristin get along. When Kristin invites everyone back to her house for an after party and Brody decides to go, it is the last straw. Jayde storms off and Brody refuses to go after her.

Audrina goes out to lunch with Derek and neither of them told Justin that they were going out with each other. When Stephanie and Audrina catch up later she tells them what a wonderful time that she had with Derek and how she likes that there is no drama with them.

Meanwhile, Spencer is done hearing about how much Heidi wants children. He practices his golf swing with his friend Charlie and tells him that he didn’t know that when he married her she would have all these expectations right away. He just isn’t ready and needs to tell Heidi.

Later, Speidi goes out to dinner and Heidi brings up how much she wants to expand the family. She reminds him that she told him that she wanted to start a family. She believes that he wants kids just as much as she does but he doesn’t know it yet.

The morning after Brody’s birthday bash, Kristin and Stacie wake up to the bottle-littered house. Kristin is still upset that Justin didn’t come and decides that she won’t put up with his antics like Audrina did. It is “strike one” for Justin.

The Hills airs Tuesdays at 10pm on MTV.
