On tonight’s episode of Hell’s Kitchen, Ariel pulls Suzanne aside before the next challenge to tell her that she needs to watch the way she interacts with others in order to be successful in this competition.  AMEN!  Suzanne can actually cook and I think she could do well, but she needs to lower the volume.  In the kitchen, Chef Ramsay asks the teams to produce four crepes, for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert, for their challenge.  Oh, and they’ll only have 20 minutes to do it.  Um, I think it would take me the entire 20 minutes just to figure out how the heck to make a crepe!  I would feel bad about that except that none of these people seem to know how to, either.

Ramsay has Jean-Philippe sit in for the crepes taste test and Ariel takes the breakfast round with her smoked salmon creation.  Andy wins back some points by winning the lunch round, with his ham, cheese, and avocado crepe.  Kevin and Suzanne (both strong chefs) tied for the dinner round and Sabrina won it for her team with her pear and chocolate dessert crepe.  For their prize, the women got to eat at a fancy restaurant and learn the art of pantomime from a mime.  That sounds more like a punishment to me.  Mimes are creeptastic.  The men got to prepare the kitchen for dinner and eat a lunch, consisting of things like cow tongue and head cheese.  I’d skip the lunch and it would still be better than hanging out with a mime for the afternoon.

Prior to dinner service, Andy accidentally sliced off the tips of THREE HIS FINGERS on his left hand and had to be rushed to the emergency room.  Ick.  He returned just in time for service, but really struggled… and all the guy had to do was make salad.  Dave continued to show that he is the hardest working chef in the kitchen.  Though Kevin and Ariel are solid chefs who rarely disappoint, Dave has a fire under his ass that should continue pushing him towards the finale.  Chef Ramsay has had enough of incompetent chefs and kicks Andy, Suzanne, and Sabrina out of the kitchen… which only left Dave, Van, Kevin, Ariel and Tennille to finish the service.

There was no winner in this dinner service so the five chefs that remained in the kitchen came together to decide who should be nominated for elimination.  They go with Andy and Suzanne and, not totally surprisingly, Ramsay gives Andy the boot.  I’m sure fans would’ve rather seen Suzanne go but fear not…her time is coming, I’m sure.

Hell’s Kitchen airs Tuesday nights at 8pm on FOX.
