Hey gang, as many of you know it gets tricky finding out who has landed gigs from RealityWanted since everyone signs the contract not to talk about what they are up to until the show airs. We had a bit of a delay on this one but Isaac from Wipeout season one called us up. Since Season two is about to start we thought it would be a great time to toss up the interview. Isaac hands out some casting tips and what it’s like to wait for a callback.
Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: Isaac thanks for taking the time out to talk to us today. We have known one another for years via Myspace and it’s finally great to talk to you. How did you first hear about RealityWanted, was it from my Myspace?
A. A. Isaac Alvarez, Wipeout: I found the site through your MySpace actually. I then went to RealityWanted.com and made a profile so I could get on a show called Solitary.
Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: Well I know you haven’t hit Solitary, have you had any luck?
A. Isaac Alvarez, Wipeout: I ended up getting a call from the Wipeout casting director who said they liked my picture. They asked me if I wanted to audition after they told me about the show. I’m not really shy on camera, so I gave it a shot.
Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: That’s killer man, you know another guy on our site also made it on season one of Wipeout.
A. Isaac Alvarez, Wipeout: Which guy?
Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: Nick http://www.realitywanted.com/member/id/12441
A. Isaac Alvarez, Wipeout: No kidding, I know Nick that’s crazy.
Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: Tell people what Wipeout was about.
A. Isaac Alvarez, Wipeout: Wipeout involves going through the biggest obstacle course in the U.S. I thought that was awesome and I was like, ‘man I have to try this.’
Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: What would you say to people who want to get on TV?
A. Isaac Alvarez, Wipeout: You cannot apply for everything or audition for everything. Also, they need to be themselves and not try to be someone else like Tom Cruise or any other actor.
Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: I see that you got asked to be on another episode of Wipeout. How did that happen?
A. Isaac Alvarez, Wipeout: They loved me the first time I was on the show. They said I was so funny that they decided to put me on a best of the best episode. I brought a lot of energy to the show.
Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: What would you say to people on the site about waiting for a callback?
A. Isaac Alvarez, Wipeout: Patience is a virtue. You just have to wait. It could days or weeks. I get anxious and excited, but you just have to keep your mind busy.
Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: So what are you working on now?
A. Isaac Alvarez, Wipeout: I own a photography business. I do product shots, fashion shots, head shots, etc. I meet a lot of aspiring actors, and I know what it is like to want to get that one big shot. You can visit my website at www.vincophotography.com
Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: That’s awesome. Are you pursuing any other shows?
A. Isaac Alvarez, Wipeout: I have done a few commercials since Wipeout. I really want to get on Solitary 4.0. I think I have the heart to do it. I believe I will be a winner if I get on that show. I have the physical and mental abilities.
