Interview with MTV's "A Double Shot at Love" Ikki Twins

 

With the success of A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, MTV decided to bring back the show for another season this time featuring twins Rikki and Vikki on "A Double Shot at Love". We recently had the opportunity to catch up with the girls and here's what they had to say:

 

Q. James, RealityWanted.com: So tell us a little about yourselves?

 

Rikki and Vikki, A Double Shot at Love: We were born in PA and moved to San Diego, CA to attend college. We ended up taking a leave of absence from school and went to Europe to pursue some modeling.

 

Q. James, RealityWanted.com: So were you fans of the prior seasons?

 

Rikki, A Double Shot at Love: We were huge fans of season one and two, and our manager ended up getting us an interview at MTV for the new girls.

 

Vikki, A Double Shot at Love: We both loved the fact that it was a bisexual dating show and totally outrageous.

 

Q. James, RealityWanted.com: How was it tricking everyone into thinking there were only one of you?

 

Rikki, A Double Shot at Love: It was really nerve racking in the beginning. I thought for sure they were going to figure us out.

 

Vikki, A Double Shot at Love: My whole life we have been mixed up so it was pretty natural.

 

Q. James, RealityWanted.com: What were your initial thoughts as the contestants came in?

 

Vikki, A Double Shot at Love: I was watching through a monitor and it was really intimidating.

 

Rikki, A Double Shot at Love: I was really excited to meet the girls. The guys were more aggressive and a little out of control, but later they showed their nicer side.

 

Q. James, RealityWanted.com: Are you both in it for love?

 

Vikki, A Double Shot at Love: We thought it would be cool if one of us ended up with a girl and the other with a guy.

 

Rikki, A Double Shot at Love: We are looking to fall in love. The people that were trying the hardest on the show were the people I really enjoyed. They weren't there for the cameras.

 

Q. James, RealityWanted.com: Do you think everyone is there for the same reasons. Love?

 

Rikki, A Double Shot at Love: I thought everyone was there to find love, but when Angela said she was straight I was pretty upset. I knew at that point they were there for the wrong reasons and now had to sort through for the real people.

 

Vikki, A Double Shot at Love: I didn't know it was going to be this hard. I went in with a guard up because I had been burned in the past and as soon as I started letting my guard down, I had to put it back up because of this.

 

Q. James, RealityWanted.com: Tell me about the most memorable experience you two had while on the show?

 

Rikki/Vikki, A Double Shot at Love: Kandi. We knew from the beginning that she was going to be a good time. Too bad she passed away. Also Ben, he was mumbling in the beginning but he was so cute. When he left everyone made a shrine for him and we all miss him.

 

Q. James, RealityWanted.com: Obviously this is a reality show, do you think meeting some of these people in a real world environment would be any different?

 

Rikki, A Double Shot at Love: Not meeting their friends and seeing them in their environment only gave us one side of them.

 

Vikki, A Double Shot at Love: It's a dream world and anything can happen. I think it really doesn't work when after the show you can't see eachother for months but this was a little different.

 

Q. James, RealityWanted.com: Any dating tips?

 

Rikki, A Double Shot at Love: I hate it when people say to me "You are the hotter one of the twins".

 

Vikki, A Double Shot at Love: Great pickup line is "Do you want a shot?"

 

Rikki/Vikki, A Double Shot at Love: Just be yourself. First impressions are important, don't be fake.

 

Q. James, RealityWanted.com: What are some of your favorite reality shows?

 

Rikki/Vikki, A Double Shot at Love: We love Rock of Love, The Bachelor, The Real World and Girls Next Door.

 

Q. James, RealityWanted.com: So what's next for you two? Is there a way for fans to contact you?
