Ace Blind-Sided On Survivor 17: Gabon

The show started with Ace placing a big fat bull’s eye on Crystal’s back.  She’s definitely got some attitude issues and if she’s playing to win I’m not sure what her strategy is because all she seems to do these days is tick people off.

On the KODA tribe it seemed Dan was the one with the target on his back for being a “childhood fattie” as Corinne labeled him.  His paranoia got the best of him and it turned others off on his tribe.

The first challenge consisted of three members of each tribe tossing a breakable ball back and forth while one member of the opposite tribe attempts to smash that ball or force it to the ground.  The tribe with three points would win reward.  They will be picked up by a helicopter and brought to a beautiful location for an afternoon picnic.  Sugar is a sweet girl but useless it seems in these challenges.  KODA won the challenge and Sugar was again sent to Exile Island.   Only this time I think she earned the punishment. 

The immunity challenge brought with it another surprise.  Both tribes were going to be heading to tribal council and voting someone out.  The immunity idol would be secured for individual immunity rather than tribal immunity.   The challenge consisted of rolling on a log with bare feet.  The last person standing (from either tribe) would win immunity.  Two at a time battled it out on the log and the winner of each battle moved on to the next round.  Sometimes the players were competing against members of their own tribe.  The final round consisted of three people – Sugar, Ace, and Marcus.   Marcus won and was awarded the honor of assigning immunity to one member of the opposing tribe.   Crystal wanted it really bad but Marcus gave it to Sugar, but let it be known it was a strategic choice and not based on popularity.

On the KODA tribe the plan was to blind-side Ace at tribal council (by Sugar, Kenny, and Crystal) but it was Ace and Matty’s plan to get rid of Crystal and they assumed Sugar would vote along side them.  Ace tried to get the immunity idol from Sugar that she found on Exile Island but she was hesitant to give it to him.  That should have been a big red flag to him and in all honesty he should have seen the blind-side coming, but he didn’t.

As for the FANG tribe Dan, Suzy, and Bob were all on the chopping block.  Suzy sealed her fate with Corinne when she openly admitted she was going to vote for Corinne.  What possessed her to tell Corinne that is beyond me!  But it seems Dan got four votes to go home and Suzy only got three so she’s safe for at least one more week anyway!
