Interview with Amy P. from The Biggest Loser Families

Q. Thank you for taking the time to speak with us all today. You and your husband are very close, how was the separation after you were sent home and he stayed at The Biggest Loser Ranch?

A. Amy P, The Biggest Loser Families: We work together and spend a lot of time with one another, so it was strange to come home without him.

Q. Is it harder to sneak food behind one another’s back since you were both at the ranch?

A. Amy P, The Biggest Loser Families: We do our own thing, but it’s great accountability having us both going to the ranch. We both have an understanding of the dynamics of how to eat and how to exercise.

Q. How’s the eating/dieting been going since you left The Biggest Loser Ranch?

A. Amy P, The Biggest Loser Families: We buy chicken and other foods in bulk now, cook it early in the week and take it with us. I learned that I used to go all day without eating and then eating a ton of food at night vs. now eating smaller healthier meals more often.

Q. Tell us about the talk Brady had with Heba?

A. Amy P, The Biggest Loser Families: When you are watching the show remember it is the first time I am seeing certain things myself. I didn’t even know until last night that Randy and Vicky had a chat with Heba about Philip and me. By the way, what you saw wasn’t accurate and I think they needed to make up that story to have her turn on me. I have no idea what they were thinking but seeing them come to that drastic of a measure, makes me think they needed to say or do anything to keep themselves at the ranch.

Q. So Philip did not approach Brady and talk about keeping you and asking them to kick out Heba?

A. Amy P, The Biggest Loser Families: He didn’t ask him to vote Heba out, he did talk to Brady just mentioning to him that they may want to align with me since I am a stronger player. He said it that way assuming Brady didn’t have an alliance and he didn’t know he did have one with Heba. Most of what they said Philip said never happened.

Q. Were you surprised you were voted out?

A. Amy P, The Biggest Loser Families: I knew my options were to either have my team win or I needed to be The Biggest Loser in order to stay, so I wasn’t that surprised.

Q. What was it like to see Phil once he got back from the biggest loser ranch?

A. Amy P, The Biggest Loser Families: It was great to see him again but I have too many juicy details I want to wait and make you watch it. When I did first see Philip I was like “Oh my gosh your skinny” I thought I was having an affair with another man.

Q. Phil seemed more aggressive than other participants on this season, did you need to try and hold him back at all?

A. Amy P, The Biggest Loser Families: I always try and prevent him from talking so much since he has a habit of talking his way into adversity, but that’s one of the reasons I love him so much.

Q. What do you think of Heba?

A. Amy P, The Biggest Loser Families: She is funny and fun to hang around but in this circumstance and in the game situation it was tough since she is strong and opinionated. She is funny, smart, and has a great personality.

Q. What weight are you at now?

A. Amy P, The Biggest Loser Families: I am at 145 pounds now.

Q. What is your goal weight for the finale?

A. Amy P, The Biggest Loser Families: I would love to be at 120 for The Biggest Loser finale.
