Interview with Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon

Q. Why did you and your team lose so much?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: I think we were at a physical disadvantage and I feel like we tried. They made it look like I quit all the time but that’s just TV.

Q. Did you know Sugar had the idol?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: I sure did, I came in from somewhere and others in the camp were all paranoid wanting to kick out Sugar since she had the idol.

Q. Did you know you were going to get kicked out before tribal?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: No, I didn’t know. Everyone wanted to kick out Sugar since she had the idol.

Q. Why didn’t they kick Sugar out?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: I don’t know, I did tell some of the tribe members it was getting hard out there for me. I don’t like to argue with people and I dodge arguments all the time. I was trapped with negative people and it was making me the same way. I know it’s a game, but it just wasn’t right.

Q. You did say you wanted to go home right?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: I told a couple of them I wanted to go home but I was hoping for them to help me change my mind and make me feel better.

Q. Who did you bond with the most while you were in Gabon?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: I bonded more so with Kenny, we had some great talks out there.

Q. What do you say to people who call you a quitter?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: They can say what they want, I know what happened. I don’t want to be portrayed as negative and arguing and felt the longer I was there I would  become that person.

Q. Is Aces accent fake or real and what do you think of him?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: I think it’s real but last night it seemed like there was a part in which he lost it, but he is a good guy and a good player.

Q. What did you think about Crystal and her gold medalist background?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: I was very surprised, I thought maybe she played ball but I didn’t know she won a gold medal. She didn’t tell anyone while I was there and it was a huge surprise based on how we did in challenges.

Q. Do you at all regret going on the show?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: Not at all.

Q. Was experience like you imagined it to be?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: It was a lot harder than I thought.

Q. When did you decide to be on Survivor?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: I have watched a lot of the seasons and missed some here and there, but started really watching when they did Africa and after China I started having the feelings it was the show for me.

Q. How did you go about getting on the show?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: I got online and downloaded the application, made a video and started thinking of different ways to film the video and ways to stand out.

Q. So what did you do and how do you think you stood out in your Survivor audition video?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: I talked about my life and also talked about my job and my music. In between, I threw in segments about me acting and being goofy. I am silly.

Q. What would you tell others future Survivor cast members?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: I would just say know that it is TV and whatever you say and do will be out there for the world to see. Be prepared to starve, deal with personalities and be out of your element.

Q. What did you miss the most when you left home?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: Food!

Q. What was first meal when you got home?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: I had pizza.

Q. What’s the website where we can find your music?

A. Danny “GC” Brown of Survivor Gabon: Gcsizzle.com – look for the site in the future, but you can find me on Myspace now.
