Kim Kardashian & Cloris Leachman Survive Second Elimination On Dancing With The Stars
By: Mary Cavaliere

Tonight’s show was a lot of fluff and it would have been better if they had just eliminated two couples last night instead of dragging the results out for a third show this week.

The “fluff” consisted of the professionals dancing the opener (which was great of course), a performance by Jesse McCartney (which you’d love if you’re 12 but when you’re my age it’s not much of a treat), street interviews by one of last year’s contestants Adam Corolla, and a performance by The Jonas Brothers (again, something you’re only going to get excited about if you’re 12).  The only problem is my 12-year old doesn’t watch this show so who are they selecting the talent for?

Even though Kim Kardashian and Cloris Leachman scored the lowest with the judges last night, both are safe to dance next week.  It was no surprise that the next to go was Ted McGinley.  Remember, on this show it’s not all about the dancing.  I’m sure you all remember how long Jerry Springer lasted in spite of his inability to dance.  Ted hasn’t been on television recently whereas Cloris Leachman is a comic legend and Kim Kardashian is one of the most popular reality TV stars (for today anyway).  Combine Ted’s lack of popularity with his partner being a new dancer on the show (Inna Brayer) and that equals doom.  Viewers don’t just vote for their favorite stars, they also vote for their favorite dancers.

My favorites dancers are Julianne Hough, Derek Hough, Cheryl Burke, Lacey Schwimmer, and Tony Dovolani and if I was actually voting, that would definitely come into play.
