Cat Deeley looked like an Egyptian Goddess tonight, don’t you think?  Being the huge Broadway fan that I am I loved the opening number (Money from Cabaret) choreographed by Tyce Diorio.  What was that roast of Tyce all about anyway?  He’s not any meaner than any of the other judges, especially Nigel who I feel, at times, pushes the envelope a bit too far.  And he doesn’t have the sex appeal that Simon Cowell has to pull it off as well either. 

The first guest performer was one of this year’s most unique contestants Robert Muraine. It really doesn’t matter that he didn’t make it into the finals.  He’s doing alright for himself I’m sure.  He is absolutely amazing to watch.  I don’t get what Nigel’s problem was.  The poor guy didn’t “quit”.  He just felt he knew his own limitations and didn’t want to humiliate himself.  So what’s wrong with that?  Maybe the show really doesn’t interest him that much Nigel – he just wanted some exposure - and he got it - so he’s good to go thank you very much.  That doesn’t make him a coward.  It makes him not only talented but smart. The day after he left the show he was on Ellen DeGeneres.  It doesn’t get much better than that. 

The second guest performer was One Republic, who was enjoyable to watch as well. 

The bottom three couples this week were exactly as I predicted last night: 

Comfort & Thayne
Kourtni & Matt
Courtney & Gev

The six at risk danced for their lives and here is what I rated them on a scale from 1-10:

Kourtni – Always a true joy to watch - 10

Matt – Amazing - 10

Courtney – I love her energy and her style - 10

Gev – Holy Toledo he was amazing - I actually rewound my Tivo and watched again - 10

Comfort – Again the same old thing – nothing too special - 5

Thayne – He’s so adorable as well as talented - 10

I would not have wanted to be a judge tonight trying to decide on which guy to send home.  It must have been painful to choose and it was painful for me to watch Matt leave, although I wouldn’t have reacted any differently had it been Gev or Thayne.  Now, as for Comfort making it through another week, especially over one of the best girls in the competition, Kourtni, all I can say is Nigel had it right and the other judges who voted to keep Comfort must be drinking heavily or something.  I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during the decision making process.  See you next week as we get down to the Final 6.
