A major event in my life was:
Our apartment caught fire and because of the behavior of the cats, we were alerted and jumped out of the two story building in time. We did not have renter's insurance yet and although the manager told us all that we could go in and get some of our things, they waited 3 months (after it rained so much) and destroyed the building without letting us know about it. None of the fire alarms in the building went off and there weren't extinguishers. We currently live with my parents.
