Advice from a blonde: When trying to fix a computer, it generally helps to remember; The ethernet cord has to be PLUGGED IN for it to work. Haha! Have a beautiful Tuesday!
It's Tuesday so May you have the hindsight to know where you have been, the foresight to know where you are going, and the insight to know when you have gone to far! Smile!
Note to self: Next time, don't let Persephone eat any of the three-cheese chicken pasta. Last night was the worst night of "cat with gas" I've ever witnessed! And...the scent-memory might never leave me! Have a great Monday!
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own. & you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins. Happy Monday – thanks for your friendship & support!
Another one of my Irish Grandfather's saying for you on this Monday: Trust in yourself. Your perceptions are often far more accurate than you are willing to believe.
Another adventure in cat ownership: I was on the phone with someone about a callback. Because I didn't want the cats interuppting, I went into my back room and closed the door. Sadly, the effort was in vain, because Persephone, with her determination to be a pain in the ass at every turn, began banging against the door and screaming louder than a police siren. Finally even the interviewer had to ask what was going on. Embarassed, I explained that I wasn't killing my cat. She's just a spoiled brat! Have a lovely Sunday!
Nothing in the world can make you laugh than a good friend. Case in point, the first text on my phone when I woke up this morning: "What day is it?" I called back, to find the aforementioned friend suffering a searing hangover, because he decided to play a drinking game with his friends: Watch Season 4 of Project Runway, and take a shot every time someone says the words "fierce" or "fabulous." To my Christian Siriano-obsessed friend, I gave this advice: "Black coffee, cold shower, and no more "dumb" for you this weekend." Have a great Saturday!
I learned something new yesterday: Why people calling in to a radio station curse when they don't win. I've never called a radio station for anything before yesterday, but felt inspired to try with the promise of tickets to see my favorite band up for grabs. The exercise taught me two things: One, no amount of begging, pleading, spells or prayers can make up for the HUGE lack of luck I have in games of chance. Two, when people cuss on the air, they're not as out-of-line as I always thought! TGIF!
Today's story: You're Doing it Wrong. Here in CO, we have an almost-forgotten rule of the roads, in the category of "mountain driving etiquette," which states: If you're at the front of a long line of cars on a single lane road, who want to go faster than you, you're to pull over and let them pass. I was driving one of those roads over the weekend, in one of those lines. The car at the front gets half credit for this attempt: He did let everyone pass. But, didn't pull over. Instead, he flipped on his hazzards, slammed to a stop in the middle of the road, and started gesturing with his arm for us to go around him!C+ for the effort. F for execution. Have a great Thursday!
