Scatter at random / O blossoms of the cherry / And cloud the heavens, that you may conceal the path old age is said to follow. ~ Ariwara no Narihira. I'm currently reading an anthology of translated Japanese poetry, and thought I'd share a couple I particularly liked. This one reminds me that we're all here to enjoy life. To never forget the lifetimes ahead, but to live each day one at a time, as a unique celebration that will never be exactly repeated. Just something to think about on this uniquely beautiful day. I hope yours is beautiful as well. Votes are in.
Well it is Thursday so remember: No matter where you are in life right now, no matter who you are, no matter how old you are – it is never too late to be who you are meant to be. Your vote is in!
Two patients limp into two different medical clinics with the same complaint. The first patient in examined within the hour, x-rayed the same day and has surgery the following week.
The second patient waits 3 weeks for an appointment to see his doctor, 8 weeks to see a specialist, then gets x-ray, which isn’t reviewed for another week and finally surgery is 6 months from then.
Why the different treatment for the 2 patients? The first patient is a Golden Retriever.
The second patient is a Senior Citizen.
