I was talking to a dear friend of mine about a hot issue in the country right now: Equal rights for the gay and lesbian community. He had this to say, and I thought it was worth sharing: "I don't like the stigma attached to the terms straight, gay, or bi, because people still assume being "straight" means you're a good wholesome person, but being gay or bi means there's something wrong with you. If you ask me, can't I just tell you I'm not picky and buy you a drink?" He's a great guy (bisexual) that really sees things to love in all of us...and I liked his thought above. Remember, hatred and prejudice are the two biggest things that hold us back. Today, practice tolerance. Just because someone else's political views, religious views, or sexual orientation is different from yours, if they're not hurting anyone, would it really hurt you to try to understand? Have a wonderful Sunday. Your votes are in!
