About The Project
The American Muslim Project, a documentary television series, follows 10 Muslim teenagers in the Chicago suburbs as they navigate the challenges of becoming adults, weaving their stories into the diverse national quilt of modern American life. The series explores the issues these teens face from their perspectives, and in their own words. Touching on everything from friendship to independence to spirituality, the series provides space for the diverse voices and points of views of Muslim teens and young adults, and provides them a platform to share their important stories with a broad national audience.
WE WANT YOU!
To date we have found a diverse array of Muslim teens representing a broad spectrum of the community. However, we are still looking for:
People between 18 and 25 who are in the middle of or starting the process of an arranged or introduced marriage. Might you or someone you know fit the bill? We want to make sure to include this important part of the Muslim American experience. We have been filming in the extended Chicago community at a number of Mosques, universities and community centers. If you are interested in having an initial conversation about the project and the possibility of participation, please submit an email for consideration and you will be contacted shortly.
