You’ve been out of the closet for years and you’re living life on your own terms, but being gay or not being gay isn’t really the issue.  You’re in the wrong body, and you’ve known it for as long as you can remember.  After years of research and consideration, you’ve made your decision.  You’re finally ready to take steps towards gender reassignment surgery – from which there is no turning back.  But before you can have the surgery, you will have to live the life. You’ll spend an entire year as the person you always felt you were meant to be – from the hormones to your hair, to your clothes and your face, your outside will finally match your inside.
