Now Casting 12 Year Olds
Being Twelve is a documentary that will feature twelve unique adolescents and give them the spotlight for their story - their hopes, passions and fears for the future. The film will crisscross the United States to find a spectrum of personalities and backgrounds that feature all genders, races, socioeconomic situations and religious affiliations. Viewers will be able to peek into a unique cross-section of the populous at such a turbulent age and also during such a tumultuous time in American history. Participants in the project will be able to express themselves freely and share their thoughts and opinions on all parts of the human experience. This documentary will have a dual purpose and serve as a time capsule for all the participants and also an artistic project that will weave together their respective stories and demonstrate what fundamentally it was like to be young in 2017.
