True Life: I Have Epilepsy
Do you have epilepsy and feel that it controls your life? Are seizures preventing you from participating in an activity that you love or causing problems at work? Are you struggling in your relationships with family and friends, feeling isolated due to your condition? Does having epilepsy make it difficult to attract and keep a boyfriend or girlfriend? Are you considering alternative forms of treatment such as surgery or medication but are concerned about the side effects? Do you self medicate with substances such as marijuana or other non-prescription drugs? Have you always had epilepsy, or did it come on as a result of an injury or illness and changed your life?
If you have epilepsy, or somebody who does, and appear between the ages of 18 and 29, we want to hear from you. Email us and tell us your story.
