New documentary from Academy Award-nominated producer and Sundance filmmaker about the rise of mental disorders in America. Seeking war veterans who have been OVER-MEDICATED for PTSD to tell their stories.
The film explores recent controversies in the psychiatry field, the rise of diagnosed mental illness, psychophramacology, and our new definition of "normal."
With 1 in 3 Americans diagnosed mentally ill, and 20% (and rising) on psychiatric prescription drugs, the film takes a hard-boiled look at the current state of mental illness treatment.
We are seeking to interview people who have been diagnosed with mental disorders and prescribed psychotropic drugs who are willing to talk about their experiences.
We are especially looking for:
- Families who have had their children over-diasnosed, mis-diagnosed, or over-medicated
- Military PTSD cases of over-medicating
- Any stories of people mis-diagnosed with Bipolar 2 or ADHD/ADD
