Actual Reality Pictures is currently producing a new series for NBC entitled The Big Event. This program will take a look at the excitement of creating a spectacularly planned event (weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, birthday parties, charitable events, family parties, etc) through the eyes of the host family and their internal staff and the
outside vendors that will bring the party to life.
The program will document the excitement and the creativity that the family goes through planning the event as well as the hard work and dedication of the staff. Both staff and family will be compensated for their appearance.
The filming will take place for about 2 weeks prior to the event in early summer 2006. The Big Event will air NBC next season.If you or a family you know are interested in learning more about The Big Event and how to be considered for the program, please contact us.
The Big Event will be executive produced by R.J. Cutler whose credits include Black/White, 30 Days, American High, Freshman Diaries, The Residents, and The War Room. He has won an Emmy Award and a Peabody Award, and has been nominated for two other Emmys, an Independent Spirit Award, three GLAAD Awards and an Academy Award. His company, Actual Reality Pictures,
specializes in the creation and production of non-fiction projects for film and television.
