MALE ACTOR Needed for MAJOR CABLE SERIES - 2/15/12 - Paid

ATTN New York City Male Actors --



I am a television producer working on a new reality series for a major cable network. As part of an in-house package we are shooting (not for air), I need to hire a very masculine male actor who is available Wednesday February 15 for a short shoot. I don't have a confirmation of the rate or exact time, but I can tell you it will be in the afternoon and pay a few hundred dollars. The character is someone who has undergone a traumatic event and relives it under hypnosis. It will be scripted.



What I would like to do for an audition is ask for you to simply make a short webcam video that you can send to me or upload to a website like vimeo / youtube. (I recommend you make your video link Unlisted.) I don't have a script for this unfortunately; feel free to improvise. You should be seated in a chair or on a couch. This video should be no more than 3 minutes long.



What we need is for you to begin by telling an emotionally scarring story in a calm, serious tone. It should still be emotional, but under-control. Then, as you tell this story, as if you are in a hypnotherapy session, I'd like to see you become less in-control, as if the memory is getting the best of you. You should remain seated, you can have your eyes closed if you want, but let these emotions get the best of you, almost as if you are reliving the trauma. You can be physically agitated, cry, scream, etc. but do so as if you are in fact under hypnosis.
