NOW CASTING - Hosts/Team Members For UNTITLED HOAX SHOW

Are you a natural prankster? Would you enjoy being a part of a team that creates elaborate schemes - with a heartfelt twist - to fool an unsuspecting ‘mark' for a brief, thrilling moment?

Casting Directors are currently in search of three expert/hosts (from anywhere in the U.S.) who will figure out elaborate and compelling set ups to hoax an unsuspecting ‘mark' each week. One week might be a UFO crash site while another might be a haunted house.

The Joker

The joker is the wildcard - the one whose craziest ideas are so crazy, they might just work. They'll sprinkle a little chutzpah into the operation and will be brimful of ideas about how to kick each hoax up a notch. While our other team members will be responsible for the look and sound of each hoax, our joker will be responsible for how it feels. Theirs will be a madcap but warm presence - they'll be the first point of contact for our ‘sleepers' and they'll be there to hear the stories about why our ‘mark' has been nominated from the people who know them.

Our joker will have to be jovial and mischievous, yet sensitive and responsive to our sleeper and their story. They will recognise that there's a time for joking around, but also that they're also there to provide a once in a lifetime experience, sometimes even to deliver life changing news. They'll need to be part Conan O'Brien, part Ty Pennington. They'll also add in the missing ingredients - the actors who will help normalise the experience, and find the props they'll need, from disguises and uniforms, to roadblocks and police cordons. Their fast talking and calmness under pressure will allow them to walk into the middle of a small town heavily disguised and keep a straight face as the hoax goes down.

The FX Genius

The FX Genius will have spent a career working amongst the most innovative minds in Hollywood and are now raring for this opportunity to take their skills into the real world. They'll be responsible for the look of each hoax and adding the little touches that will make it utterly convincing. They will be an expert model maker and will have a contacts book of make up artists, art directors and stunt men who can make even the most fantastical things look hyper real.

The Engineer

Our engineer will be a safe pair of hands who can turn almost anything into almost anything. They'll be an expert at ride pimping, customizing and cannibalizing bits of kits so they can be used for a wholly different purpose. But they'll also be able to adapt existing tech for their own ends - turning a hot air balloon into a UFO; or a holographic projector into a machine capable of making spectres walk amongst us. Their role will almost invariably be at base - in the back of the hoax mobile - cutting and shutting, modding and souping up.
