Discovery Fit & Health is looking for survivors who have sustained facial injuries resulting from domestic violence or violent crimes for the documentary series.
FACING TRAUMA
Facing Trauma follows Dual Board Certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. Andrew Jaconon as he helps put back together the faces and lives of people who have been tragically and visibly scarred by violence and are struggling to move forward.
We are looking for the following people who have sustained facial injuries who cannot move on with their lives due to the injury:
* Victims of domestic violence
* Victims drunk driving accidents.
* Victims of a hate crimes.
* Victims of injuries sustained by an animal (dog maulings etc...)
* Performers whose injuries sustained by a violent act have stopped them from pursuing their career.
* Former military personnel who still have facial injuries and haven't gotten proper help.
* Immigrants who sustained facial injury while in their country during war or political conflict.
Dr. Jacono's expert reconstructive treatment will be provided FREE for the benefit of the survivor. We want to hear your story. If you or someone you know could be a potential candidate, please email us your story.
