In the season 9 finale of FOX's "MasterChef," Gerron Hurt, an English teacher from Louisville, KY was named the winner! Gerron took the top prize in one of the most difficult finale challenges ever against finalists Ashley and Cesar.

Appetizer:
Nashville Hot Quail with Fingerling Potato Salad, and Poached Quail Eggs
Entrée:
Carabinero Prawns with Heirloom Grits, Shellfish Au Jus, and Crispy Shallots
Dessert:
Amaretto Chess Pie with a Raspberry Coulis, and Popped Sorghum
Gerron won the $250,000 grand prize and earned a place in Camp MasterChef! He said, "Once you can acknowledge that you're not the greatest at something, is when self-growth truly begins. Try, fail, try again and succeed," adding, "Feedback has only made me better! DREAM BIG, THEN EXECUTE!," from the FOX press release.
