What is your most memorable year? Have you had it yet? The contestants this season get to relive theirs and dance to a song that reminds them of just that. They are hopeful their dance is memorable so that they escape elimination next week.

Maureen and Artem - Foxtrot - 24/30 - Her most memorable year was 1985, the year she married her husband. Did you know that Maureen struggled with cocaine addiction? She gives her husband the credit for saving her.

Calvin and Lindsay - Jazz - 24/30 - 2012 was the year Calvin broke Jerry Rice's record. It's also the year his partner, Lindsay, graduated from high school. So this routine is honoring both of them ha! They even get Jerry Rice in the routine... guess there's no hard feelings.

Jana and Gleb - Contemporary - 26/30 - The year she had her daughter is this year, 2016, and so far it's her most memorable. 10 years ago her significant other was charged with attempted murder on her. And if you've been paying attention to pop media, you know she is separated from her husband at the moment. She's deciding to focus on her daughter for this dance.

Ryan and Cheryl - Contemporary - 24/30 - In 2008 Ryan won his first individual gold medal at the olympics, making that his most memorable year as a record holder. In the package his mother says, "We just wanted him to swim so he didn't get in trouble." Whoops. He is dedicating this routine to his mother for sticking by him through thick and thin.

Laurie and Val - Paso Doble - 25/30 - In 2014 she dislocated her knee cap but she didn't give up on her dream to make it to the olympics. So obviously 2016 is becoming her most memorable year. If she can get through Val and his expectations of being "better than perfect". Just to mention, holy Beyonce vibes with her costume tonight (she danced to the Katy Perry Olympic song)!

Marilu and Derek - Viennese Waltz - 27/30 - In 1978 her mother was deteriorating health wise. A few weeks after her mother died she had her final auditions for the tv show Taxi, that started her career in showbiz.

Amber and Maks - Samba - 24/30 - 2013 was the year Amber's son was born and she wants to use this as an opportunity to celebrate moms. In the package, Amy Schumer comes in singing Amber's praise as a "girls' girl". We also see Amber break down during rehearsals. We never really get to the bottom of her emotional outpouring. She gets through her routine but enthusiastically.

James and Sharna - Tango - 29/30 - James had the worst crash of his career in 2015 during practice. HIs suspension broke and he ran into the wall at 224 mph. He wasn't unconscious but he wasn't communicating either. The surgeon said during surgery they lost his pulse. The survival rate for this type of injury is 0%. Wow! Only 18 months later he is here doing ballroom!

Terra and Sasha - Contemporary - 27/30 - In 2013 Terra was on tour with Miley Cyrus and her father was home having a liver transplant. He told her not to come home for the surgery, that he would be fine. The day he was supposed to be released he had a heart attack and died. She credits his support for getting her where she is today.

There's no elimination this week but next week all bets are off.
