The doctors are on the road to bring people back to LA to fix all of their problems. Well, the physical ones anyway.
First place is San Antonio to meet with Rosa. She wanted more structure after high school so she joined the military and did two tours before coming home and getting struck by lightning. She woke up in the hospital and was told she had been in a coma for two weeks. The lightning hit her in her right chest and came out her left leg. The underwire from her bra was burned into her skin, when they removed it her breasts were no longer symmetrical or the same size. Because of the trauma she gained weight so she decided to do a tummy tuck. But then she got an infection and the surgery wasn't done right. The bad news is the scars can't be helped, the good news is the doctors are confident they can lift her breasts and fix the tummy tuck results.
It's been 7 years since her last surgery and she's nervous. It's smart to put her trust into Dr. Dubrow. He does liposuction in her breast for symmetry, removes her underwire scar, tightens her tummy and moves her pubic area down where it belongs. Crazily, during her surgery the electrical equipment malfunctions. Terry thinks it's because of the fact that Rosa was struck by lightning but finds a way to finish her surgeries. Although a lot of pain is expected, the results are phenomenal. Not only do her "flaws" look fixed but she is glowing from the happiness (not from the lightning).
In Columbia, South Carolina, they meet Chrystal. She has a lifelong foot deformity. Unbeknownst to Terry, Paul also suffers from brachymetatarsia (a short 4th toe). She has had surgery on one foot but suffers in both feet. The external fixture on the first foot has actually done more damage. The options are to use cadaver bone or to amputate and make room for other toes. For her surgery on her left foot they're going to amputate the 4th toe. On her right toe they're going to lengthen her 4th toe with a metal pin. Once they evacuate all the blood from her extremities they have a very limited amount of time to work before the tissue starts to die.
After her surgery she has a little regret about the amputation. At her reveal she finally, for the first time ever, she's getting a pedicure. And she's wearing sandals. Regrets gone.
